Hey All,

Yeah it's me again! Just curious as to why the bookmark us block made by scorpion, does not show the images? Everything is pointing to the right direction I even tried a few of the possible colour options but none would show and if you right click and do properties on the block image (to show where it's meant to be) it says that it is in the right place (folder structure).

I can't get my lil head round this one! Any ideas scorps?

Are you sure you have the folder structure correct - blocks/bookmark/images ?

Also check the blocks/bookmark/ct_config.php file is in the right place ?

These would be the only reasons it's not showing the images unless they're in the wrong place too - blocks/bookmark/images/image file

Nope they are all fine! I have changed the two file names to no _ and checked for any spaces which there are none. I also made the same changes in the ct_config.php

So instead of:

bookmark_red.gif
home_red.gif

I have it as:
bookmarkred.gif
homered.gif

As I say I have made these identical in the PHP...

Could it be coz I have it on the right block side?

I think i'm right in saying:

If the block is named 'bookmark us' in the admin/blocks menu then the resulting image should be bookmark us.jpg (or gif whichever it is)

The point being if there is a space between the two words in the name of the actual block then there needs to be a space in between the two words in the file name of the graphic.

Most programs will fill the space with an underscore character '_' like so when they save the image.

try and take the underscore character out and just leave a single space.

I hope I am on the right tracks here, having joined the conversation late!

Well the name of the block is:

block-Bookmark.php

I have tried the block on the left and still no images, I did notice that on the live page display the image sizes are as follows:

For the Bookmark Us Link the Image size is: 99X30

For the Set As Homepage Image size is: 120X30

Well the actual images are:

Bookmark Us: 111X15
Homapage: 111X15

I have modded the red one to the image sizes as shown on the live page in a hope that this would then show them, but alas this was not so!

Im getting very baffled Retard

OMG

This has finally been sorted... guess what it was Dont Know

A .htaccess file in the blocks folder!

Works perfectly now no problems! Many thanks to Floppy who advised me coz of the forbidden message when trying to view just the image... I shall be making a mental note of this one thats for sure... this had me baffled for ages! I think it had most people's heads scratching as well LMAO

Cheers guys for your help im sure it wont be the last! Embarrased
