Post Invalid IP when trying to access my website Posted: Mon May 07, 2007 4:08 am

When a friend of mine from Romania tries to get to my site http://shixter.com he gets a message on the browser page that says he is using an invalid IP to access the page. This is true for IE, FF, and Opera. He can get to my subdomains, so it is not the server. Is there something in the CMS config for the formentioned site that might block certain IP's automatically? When trying to access my site he has disabled any security through his network in an attempt to get there.

If anyone knows how I can fix this or has any ideas, please let me know. Thanks in advance. Pint

Shop Purchases:
Clan Roster 2.0 · Multi Gaming (Warrior) Evo Theme · COD6 ModernWarfare 2 Teaser Splash Screen · Left for Dead Evo Extreme Version

In nuke sentinel add him to the protected range. Find out his ip and add a range such as 192.168.1.0 to 192.168.1.255 of course sub in his actual ip :P

Thank you very much, floppy. This was becoming pretty frustrating, hehe.

I keep getting a nondescript error when trying to add the range. I dont think my sentinel is properly set up. I will have to look into a few things.

I have never seen that before. Let me know if you find the problem.

I was probably kinda unclear. What I meant was that I just get something that says there was an error when trying to add the ip range. I guess I need to go get a screenshot, heh.

Post Invalid IP when trying to access my website Posted: Mon Apr 06, 2009 6:12 pm

If you receive this message:
"You are using an Invalid IP to access this site!", that usually means you are testing this on a

localhost PC (IP 127.0.0.1). Technically, in a production environment, that IP can't exist. So,

NukeSentinel(tm) flags it as an error. To fix it, see below. But you must remember to change it back

when you load this to your production site.

In includes/nukesentinel.php on or about line 140,
FIND
// Invalid ip check
if($nsnst_const['remote_ip']=="none") { die(_AB_INVALIDIP); }

CHANGE TO
// Invalid ip check
//if($nsnst_const['remote_ip']=="none") { die(_AB_INVALIDIP); }
