This is a graphic rough draft of the template Im going to need a bit of help coding on that I posted about in how-to's.

Take in mind this is only a rough draft and not a finished product. I havn't even begun work on the logo,footer, and forum design let alone the many tiny little graphics that will need changes to fit the template.

Feedback is appreciated! and please don't steal this, that would suck :D

Your login placement is bad, it takes up to much room, i would put them horizontal at the top on the header.

I would also put the footer inside the columns of your background image just like your header.

I think if anyone really wanted to rip it they would just jack the gradients and recreate it, even with watermarks all you would need is one line of the grad then multiply it.

This comment kind of confused me, but I think you are saying the block design I made can not be stretched vertically because of the gradient? Wouldn't a block background image with a bottom alignment and background color of the top most color of the gradient solve this? Im not too sure about how the blocks are defined php but this should be capable if the content area of the blocks are defined themselves right?

As for the login boxes, i wasnt quite sure where to locate them. I thought that once I did the logo I could create a better place. But then again I might change the look of the header all-together since i dont like the boxish area that I created for the logo. Thanks for heads up on a good place to put them.

Also, I wasn't originally going to create a bordering background image and I don't even know if the footer shown is even capable now without it having some kind of overlay value. I agree with you that putting it within those borders would look much better. I might even create a bottom to the table so it has an end but I have no idea how I would go about coding that :D

All in all thanks for the input Noto, you've helped me come up with some more ideas and also made me more skeptical of the design haha :D

Edit: Oh, and btw I love the colors too ^_^ , and I took a look at some of the sigs in your collection they are pretty awesome, they make me want to start making sigs again. I kinda fell off the design game awhile back and im hoping to re-hone the skills I once had.

If anyone wanted to rip it, they would just make there own Wink

Anyway its a very simple design as there is no textures, the block content are not a problem you can just use some CSS to specify a horizontal image slice and a background colour.

I dont really see any issues

I wouldn't personally but the login there but that's personal preference (logins can be tricky but I can help you getting the PHP Nuke one working once you have it HTML coded up) you can but the login anywhere you like... so long as you can code the HTML for the placement.

with regards to the footer you can do that design, I think I must stress that you can make ANY template for phpnuke, its the coding of the template that what people cant do.

The only real thing you have to take into consideration is blocks

You must have Left / Right blocks (approx 220 pixels wide or floating) and be able to stretch vertically

Center / News Blocks must be able to stretch horizontal and vertically (you can have different designed blocks for News / Center)
