Recently my webhost managed to crash their servers and it took me a while to figure out that my problem would most likely be related to that.

What happened:
Servers crashed, website was down for aprox half a day, came back online again, but I didn't notice anything wrong with it.

Problem currently at hands:
Captcha not showing up.
I've asked about the GD extension, they say it is FreeType compiled / encrypted.

If anyone has a solution at hands it would be much appreciated.

looks like its all good again (think it was either GD extension failure from webhosts end or it was me changing the permissions of all subfolders of the images folder from Raven's PHP Nuke from 777 to 755)

few ppl are having this issue across multiple CMS's

yes but do note that i didn't do anything about .htcaccess...
This is Raven's PHP nuke so it would be another problem with evo extreme.
