Post Nuke Scrolling Issues (Not Scrolling) Posted: Tue Apr 24, 2007 5:16 am

Shop Purchases:
Battlefield 2142 PhpNuke Theme (Aviator) · Clan Roster v1.7 Php Nuke Module · Battlefield 2142 X-Theme (Ultimate)

I've been having scrolling issues for a while on my site but only with Mozilla. It has affected my theme scroller in Aviator and also the Clan Member Application block. The only thing I have been able to get working (Scrolling) is Floppy's clan roster.

I'm wondering if anyone else is having that issue on their site with some blocks? or if its just little ole me? :(
I haven't been able to find any help on ravenphpscripts or any other google site.

Right now my site links and downloads look like they are having some kind of caffeine overdose fit. I've had to set the delay in my member app block to something like 6000 so that it won't attemp to scroll because it too will have a caffeine fit.

I've asked for some help on this issue before but I'm just appealing to any other users in case someone knows whats going on.

Yeah I have been looking into this. I think I am going to have to get the coders involved to sort this one out.

Thanks

its the aviator theme... but I'm not 100% sure its theme related. it could be related to ravennuke v2.02-v2.10 as the member application module also does not scroll. either way there is a bug somehwere. bloody bugs!

I've just created a test site locally with a fresh install of RavenNuke 2.10.00 and adding the stock Aviator Theme. Using mozilla fire 2.0.0.3 the lower links and downloads do not scroll.

I guess this means when firefox last got updated something stopped working? Or its Nuke 2.10? I tried to find a copy of 2.02 but its no longer on ravenphpscripts. Anyone have a package file of it still? :)

Might be easier to remove them completely... Could someone help me do this? The theme would need to be edited. Perhaps I can use this space for advertising banners?

The coding works perfectly well, or at least it did untill Fifefox was last updated. Now this scrolling items jump around as does anything else that scrolls. This problem also has an effect on scrolling forum blocks.

It is nothing to do with the theme at all.

If you need to take the scrolling items out, open footer.html in some form of editor and look for the following lines:

Code:
<td background="themes/Aviator/images/footer_03.jpg">$showdownloads</td>
<td background="themes/Aviator/images/footer_04.jpg">$showlinks</td>

Remove $showdownloads from the top line of the above code
Remove $showlinks from the second line of the above.

Save the file and upload over the original. Remember to save a copy of the original just incase.

Thanks

Heefy

When I did that it removed the background image the links were in too. I'd like to keep that to house a banner.

I edited the image footer03 and footer04 to remove the text "Downloads" and "Links". I now have a empty placeholder for a banner.

But I think I might need to change the tables too so its 1 centered table instead of two columns that were used for links and downloads. Can you please give me some tips how to achieve this? :)

Thanks
