Advanced editor in reviews module Posted: Tue Nov 22, 2011 8:18 am

When I activate the advanced editor (changing 0 by 1 in config.php) I can use that editor in news, content and a lot of more modules, but not in reviews module. What must I do to change the basic editor in reviews module?

The reviews module im gussing is something you have added to yoursite yourself ?

Which version is it, its not as simple as you may think to add, I have played with it myself and it is in most cases just a function call to show the editior, its getting it to work thats the hard part !

Ill wait for your answer first, if it is a addon you have added I will need to know which version and where you got it from

Why are you using PHPNUke 7.9 BTW ?

I was working with the reviews module included in the PHPNuke 7.9 package during the first two years but there was a problem with the images. So, a person installed for me the Reviews Plus module by Jonathan Estrella:

And I'm using PHPNuke 7.9 because I'm a newbie with this. When something gets damaged I try to repair it during months, between 5-7 hour per day and I never solve a problem. So, If the website works, I don't want to update it because I would need 3 years if I want to have the site in the same conditions. It would be frustrating for me.

look in one of the module files that is using the advanced editor news for example, look for something like, wysiwyg_textarea you need to basically copy all of that and then apply it to the text area in your reviews module.

hes an example:

<textarea wrap="virtual" cols="50" rows="12" name="hometext">.$hometext.'</textarea>

would become:

wysiwyg_textarea('hometext', "$hometext", 'PHPNukeAdmin', 50, 12);

if your module is public ie anyone can submit it, you would want to change PHPNukeAdmin tp NukeUser in the above code that will hide most features upload and stuff like that.

I see you are using PHP Nuke 7.9
I would seriously consider upgrading to Raven's PHP Nuke! it has over 10.000+ security fixes AND there are methods for you to migrate your database completely over to the proper structure
