hi peeps,
My question is if it s possible to combine 4 different forums with their databases?
which means that the user who registers on forum A also is automaticly added to forum B,C,and D
forum A would be the main forum....b,c and d the subforums...

any idea... hope to hear from you soon....

I will not say its impossible, but everything would need to be re-scripted and overall, not piratical. basically all 4 forums would have to call on the same DB, but when it came down to all the other files and tables, you would need to make duplicate tables and rename them 3 times on top of the original, example.

nuke_bbpost would be the original table, what would need to be done in theory, is that you would name 3 others like,

nuke_bbpost2
nuke_bbpost3
nuke_bbpost4

then the forums would need to be rewritten to correlate with the tables. example, forum 2 will work with all tables ending in 2, forum 3 would use all tables ending in 3, and so on.

To do this would take a team of coders months or a year+ to do and would cost you a arm and a leg to do it.

There might be other ways to do this then the way I mentioned, but I can tell you that it will not be a fun project and really not piratical and will cost allot to do.

well, let me be more specific of what i like to do or to have...maybe you have an idea how its easier to create...
what i like to have on my page is the main multigamertheme as the standard theme.....when i select a forum topic lets say modernwarfare3 general discussion....i whant that part showing on a different template with a different background and banner
and not as the multigamers template....

hope you got the idea

well your suggestion that is something what i had in mind and allready did.
the problem what i would find with that is i need to update the users table every time
somebody registers on the main forums right?

Try this (found it in my collection)

I would install a test site and install it there first and have a play around before you install it on your main site, It was made for Nuke Evolution but should work with other versions

I've not tested it hence why you should test it first
