The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
The script had an error or it did not produce any output. If there was an error, you should be able to see it in the error log.

HOW CAN I FIX THIS?

I did no modifcations to forums. It has not worked since the theme was installed.

I have not backed it up yet.

If its a fresh install with no site modifications first thing I would do is re-upload all of the files to your server again...

If that fails I would backup the database and then do a clean install of the database

It really depends how old your site is and how much content you have added, if you have loads then its a time consuming problem, if its a fresh install then just re-install should resolve it...

Have the admin forums worked at any time ??

So when you installed the theme the forums admin stopped working ?

Try changing the theme to the default EvoXtreme or Chromo theme and see if they work then too

even with a different theme?

Does he have CPannel? If so, open up cpannel, and there should be a section called "Logs". In that logs area there should be "error logs". Open that and look at the dates and find the dates you were receiving that error and what they are saying.
