Ok, I'm very new at this php stuff, but have ran a gaming squad for years. We used Vbulletin for ever. There is tons of users id like to convert to phpbb2 or if I can update ravennuke to phpbb3 which seems hard from what Ive read.

There seems to be a couple database converters for VB to phpbb3. I tried one for vb to phpbb2 but It didn't work. I dont know if its because phpbb2 is integrated with ravennuke and the directories are different or what, but it didn't work. :(

We have about 4000 members in our VB, that forum has closed tho now for a while. Id like to bring them into my new site.

Thanks for any help, I'm pulling my hair out!!

Tricky one

If your wanting to move to Ravens Nuke (RN) You should stay with phpbb2, Ravens Nuke + phpbb2 = BBToNuke which in my opinion is better than phpbb3.

The problem you are going to have (and have already found byt the looks of it) is getting a converter from VB to RN

I would ask over on the RN forums if they have a database converter, and if not where would be the best place to seek one (you will probably have to pay for one in the end) >> http://ravenphpscripts.com/

Depending on how time consuming the database conversion is depends on how expensive it is, saying that they might be able to point you in the right direction...

I would forget about phpbb3 though if using RN... such a waste of time and does not bring anything new to the RN package that BBToNuke doesn't already offer
