New users are being told their login is incorrect even when I create a user from Your Accountits getting to ToS when logging in then when you select YES and submit, it says login incorrect. I've tried it with 3 'new' test users... any ideas?

have you tried it with the ToS turned off?

You can turn it off with in the "Your Account" with in the ACP. I have found that the ToS has caused some errors in the past, even with my site and I have not sat down to investigate what was the error. I just turned it off.

Hi Mate,

Yeah had thought of that just after posting here and have turned it off. Now it is just saying the login is incorrect. Allows me to log in but not new users. Just says password incorrect.

I have tried using the Lost Password button but wont send the reminder email. Also, checking int he Your Account section, there is no one awaiting activation. I had thought it might need approval or something.

If you've any other ideas, I'd be happy to try anything (within reason lol)

Are your new users getting the activation email ?

That email will have a link to ur site that must be activated within 24 hrs

No, sorry, should have said that before. They do not appear to be getting the email. I have, however, gone into the admin panel and activated and approved them. I have also created users through admin which are automatically activated but are showing an incorrect password when trying to log in whether ToS turned on or not.

As coRpSE suggested turn off the ToS, it does cause problems.

Also have ur host test the email from the sever, just to make sure it's working.

I already turned it off, I said in the previous post. I am also the host, and emails are working.

That link in the email corresponds the user mane and password.

When I said the emails are working, i mean I have sent emails via @fwclan.org

Thinking of shitcanning it anyway and going with a WP site with BB3 forums

still, any fix would be welcomed

okay, I am a bit confused, at first your saying the emails are being sent, now they are not getting sent. I am guessing that we are establishing that emails work, but we are saying that they are not being sent. Now my question to you is do you have a yahoo account or a Hotmail account. If so, then try one of those emails.

the clan have decided on a new site anyway. To clarify, I was able to send emails from the site (in newsletters and such) but the activation email, or resending of activation emails were not being sent.
