Hi guys.

I have a simple flash chat box on a website im building. I want to put a link to the chatbox so it opens in a popup.

Now I have looked at Dicipals nuke tools pop up creator but it says to paste initial code in the "body" of the website..

Now I see header and I see footer but no body lol..

What I want is a link in the block that opens a pop up please please some one help I have been trying for hours with no success

Well, honestly, for security reasons, I suggest upgrading your site. Nuke 7.9 is a no good CMS. I know from experience. My 7.9 site got hacked like 4 years ago.

As for the body, that would be found in the theme I believe, but you can put it into the block for that block will be shown in-between the body tags technically.

Ok overcame the problem by using a simple iframe linked to a html page with chatbox and java code within it. Works like a dreanm on all browsers except firefox.

Server not found is what it shows on Firefox but as I said all other browsers work fine..

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

is it because you have a DOT at the end of your link

www.timelessradio.net\chatcode\index.html.

instead of

Hey Ped..

Thanks for the reply. Ive been thru the coding and there is no . there, i even set link without the index.html still not working..

Initially the original module was named Chatcode but firefox kept pointing at chatcode (no capital c) so i changed mod name (removed capital C) still nothing..

Really starting to bug me lol.. Sad

Ok sussed it out.. phew..

On double checking the code I found that Dicipals Block creater had actually caused the error..

When I used the dbc it coded the links as www.timelessradio.net\chatcode\index.html. which work fine in all browsers except Firefox.

Anyone noticed the problem.. LoL i didnt and neither did Ped..

It should be www.timelessradio.net/chatcode/index.html

Still not noticed ?? lol..

So simple dcb changed the / to a \ which for whatever reason Firefox doesnt recognize as part of a valid link.. Even though all other browsers are clever enough to recognize it.. Makes Firefox the "dumbass" of all the browsers..

Anyway thanks Ped for taking a look, had you not pointed out the . (which wasn't actually the fault) I wouldnt have bothered to search for it seen the slash error and corrected it..

I would have just dumped the whole lot in the bin...
