Nope sorry, you would need to ask on the VB forums, the problem you have is PHPNUke is unique forums, BBToNuke its derived from PHPBB2 so if you can find a conversion tool from PHPBB2 some one might be able to modify it to work for BBToNuke... doubt it though

Ive never used VB simply because you have to pay for it, if I was making a forums today I would use SMF probably... or PHPBB3 both free both with lots n lots of free stuff available

Out of curiosity why do you want to use VB as opposed to BBToNuke ?

You should look into myBB for a forum software it is the same as VB but free. As for a conversion script for VB there was one for 3.8 but you would have to down grade your whole site to phpnuke7.6 then upgrade but that was for 3.8 vb4 is out now so i have no clue

The way you posted the question the answer is no, however, if you are refering to using the vb forums in lieu of the phpbb forums, the answer is yes.

VB has been working to create a CMS side to make their product more alluring. However with the CMS comes an additional increase in price... not so alluring. I have tested the vb suite and publisher versions which have the CMS attached and they are just about worthless as a CMS, to date. Thats not to say they may get it right in the next version, they are steadily improving it.

The last I read on the subject is you have to edit the register.php file and change some code to direct your people to the right forums. If you bought vb there should be a forums string on the "members" website that will explain how to do it.

If you do, let me know. I'd be interested in testing a Nuke CMS with a VB forum.

Do note you probably will need someone to convert your theme over to work with the vb forums, or use one of the free themes.

I am getting someone to create an update that will convert Nuke Raven forums to VB. I will keep you guys updated. There are several features I like about the VB forums such as the mobile version of it.

Thanks

If you are adding VB to the Nuke CMS, keep the register.php file in mind. I seem to recall reading something about having to edit that file moreso than anything else.

But, I don't know.... Do keep in touch and let me know what all was involved. I'd be interested in doing the same. Phpbb forums suck in comparison.

Im going to follow this thread too, I wouldn't say phpbb forums suck in comparison... there free and they do what there intended to do.

VB isnt free and they also do the job there intended to do LMAO

As for PHPNuke and forums, BBToNuke do the job, and with the extras that Xtreme have added to BBToNuke I cant see anything else being needed.

undertaker you mention that the only reason you are doing this is for the VB mobile, wouldn't the front side (PHPNuke) need to be mobile compatible as well ?

I think an alternative would be switching from PHPNuke all together and use VB + VB Advanced possibly getting some coding guru to make a database import for you from Nuke to VB, im not sure what your end goal is your trying to achieve, seems a lot to just get a mobile version Dont Know

Just be careful as the VB community has more scammers than any others i have came across plus if you are in dought they used to have a section in there forum dont know if its still there mind.

If you are running ravensnuke why not do what nuken has done from http://www.trickedoutnews.com/ he used a script that was written for nuke to make your site mobile friendly why not just ask him what the script is?

I am working on a new mobile site for RavenNuke as we speak.... It is more of a IPhone/Android friendly theme that auto detects mobile browsers and displays a main button menu that loads simplified content for the small screens... I hope to have it released as a beta in a couple of months.

I also have a phpBB3 bridge for RavenNuke that has a converter for standard RavenNuke forums to the phpBB3 one. If you are set on using vBulletin, you should be able to use their Import System to convert from phpBB3 to vBulletin.
