Post Missing admin.php ? **hope this was not posted already** Posted: Tue Dec 28, 2010 11:04 pm

Shop Purchases:
Call of Duty Black Ops Theme

This is what I get from support at KissX KissX
Mark: [2:58:06 PM] Welcome to support chat. How can I help you today?
PC: [2:58:06 PM] why am I getting accessed denied when I try to go to "http://www.angryguardians.com/admin/case/case.themecpanel.php"
Mark: [2:58:13 PM] Thanks, give me a minute or two to take a look please.
PC: [2:59:17 PM] must be the permissions set in the parent directory?
Mark: [2:59:33 PM] perms look ok to me, still looking
[3:08:36 PM] if I were to upload the readme into the root dir would that help any?
Mark: [3:10:07 PM] It seems it is coming from the script as far as I can tell ,
[3:10:11 PM] if (!eregi("admin.php", $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'])) { die ("Access Denied"); }
this is the first line of the case.themecpanel.php file
[3:10:20 PM] It's saying if the file that's being requested in the browser does not match admin.php, then stop script execution and output Access Denied.
Mark: [3:12:05 PM] I can take a look, where is it?
PC: [3:12:53 PM] just uploaded plz refresh
Mark: [3:13:27 PM] to /public_html
[3:14:26 PM] yes sir.
[3:16:07 PM] It seems the trouble is with that file
PC: [3:16:14 PM] no sire, I followed from Part One - Extracting and Uploading the Theme
Mark: [3:17:22 PM] I do not see the files are in the themes folder as in the instructions
PC: [3:18:06 PM] let me look
Mark: [3:18:34 PM] It seems they should be in /public_html/themes/COD_Black_Ops according to that
PC: [3:18:51 PM] well the instruction have the blackops folder proceeding it, so I put all the dir there
Mark: [3:19:16 PM] Sorry I see just the images.
[3:19:56 PM] I am not sure wher it has gone wrong, My best suggestion would be to re-upload al the files into public_html
PC: [3:20:25 PM] should I send the zip/winrar files?
Mark: [3:20:49 PM] Just upload the extracted files,
[3:23:56 PM] copying over now
[3:29:24 PM] okay we appear to have finished
Mark: [3:29:46 PM] Searching for the admin.php that script is looking for, I am unable to find it,
[3:30:06 PM] that would be a problem, I am not sure if this comes with the theme, or if it should already be there however.
[3:30:46 PM] Running a search in the file manager comes up with no admin.php
PC: [3:31:33 PM] well... may i ask if this is automatically setup after I am to select the install process?
Mark: [3:31:50 PM] I an not sure I am sorry,
PC: [3:31:51 PM] theme_install.php?
Mark: [3:33:13 PM] I am not sure how this script/theme works internally myself,
PC: [3:33:42 PM] 'this is what i get on this path Warning: require_once(mainfile.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home7/angrygua/public_html/theme_install.php on line 3
Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'mainfile.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib64/php:/usr/lib/php') in /home7/angrygua/public_html/theme_install.php on line 3
[3:33:49 PM] the path is
[3:33:59 PM] http://www.angryguardians.com/theme_install.php
[3:34:36 PM] same result in IE8 and Google chrome
[3:34:42 PM] result*
Mark: [3:34:50 PM] Yes something is not right with the script to cause all these errors.
[3:35:10 PM] assuming you are uploading all the files with the correct structure I an not sure what else might cause this,
PC: [3:35:11 PM] :(
[3:36:01 PM] could you verify the structure looks accurate according to the readme? again I am sure you are not required
Mark: [3:36:09 PM] the php errors specifically the script creator would be better able to help with than I , as faras I am able to tell some of the files are missing
[3:36:26 PM] It does according to the readme, but the required admin.php file is not there
PC: [3:38:04 PM] this is why I was thinking it was executed with the theme_install.php... i know the admin.php should follow the domain
[3:38:32 PM] guess I will search the forums, was hoping to avoid this
Mark: [3:38:38 PM] the dependant file for the install main.php is also missing,
PC: [3:39:14 PM] hmmm
Mark: [3:39:48 PM] No problem,
PC: [3:39:53 PM] would it help if I upload the rars?'
Mark: [3:40:07 PM] If they contain the necessary files ,
Mark: [3:40:21 PM] I would try just finding the ones I mentioned and upload them if they are in the zip
Mark: [3:52:27 PM] I am not seeing the missing files inside the zip, I am sorry, I am not sure where they are supposed to be,
[3:52:49 PM] the best thing I would suggest is reinstalling the core script files, then reinstalling the theme, I am certain you are missing some of the files.

You dont have nuke installed.

For the theme you have brought you need raven nuke, you can get it here install nuke 1st.

Then upload your theme and run the theme install. Then set the default theme to your black ops theme in the nuke admin area and everything should be fine.

Shop Purchases:
Enemy Territory Theme (Aviator) for PHP Nuke · Clan Roster 2.0 ·  · Modern Warfare 3 Xtreme Theme

It would be if it was installed. I know blue host and many other offer the install of phpnuke, but you have to do that from with in the control panel of the site. but I do recommend NOT using that and install what Noto has linked you to for it is far more secured then the phpnuke.

I did figure out I needed to install from the cpanel, I am using standard phpnuke (8.0)

I have installed from the cpanel, followed the instructions, after I select my theme "login to your Admin Preferences area and set the default theme as Call of Duty: Black Ops. You should now have a working theme" I get the HTTP 500;
Most likely causes:
•The website is under maintenance.
•The website has a programming error.

The host says it is a scripting error. I had them wipe the site clean, tried again, same issue no resolution.

I wanted to add this does not appear to be 100% clear (to me anyway) "Moves the "images" folder into the COD_Black_Ops theme folder (where the theme.php is)" should it not be themes/COD_Black_Ops (place the images there? from download 2?

I recommend deleting phpnuke 8.0 and use RavenNuke for it is ALLOT more secured. phpnuke 8.0 is very unsecured and your gambling on your site not being hacked using it.

If you want some help and you have a messenger or Teamspeak, let me know in a PM, I do have all messengers, (Aim, Yahoo, MSN, XFire), along with a TS server if you rather talk. I will help through remote access where you will not have to give any passwords and we can have it set up in about an hour. Most of that time will be uploading, the setup should take about 10 min.

If you were running a clan site and you didn't buy the theme yet, I would have recommend Nuke Evo, but since you have that theme for nuke, RavenNuke is your best choice.

so what you are saying is "RavenNuke" will work with standard php?

I will send you a PM, I should be able to set this up myself...
