Member application v 2.1.4 forum post issue Posted: Fri Nov 26, 2010 9:00 pm

i got Member Application V 2.1.4 up and running, but when i check "Forum Post" under forum setup and if someone fills and submit the forum it does not notify the submitter that Forum application was submitted to the forum, it just gives a blank screen. But it does notify the submitter the forum application was submitted if i unchecked "Forum Post".Member Application V 2.1.4 does work but it be nice if it notify the submitter it went threw.
Could you please guide me or help me understand what went wrong.

turn on $display_errors in the config.php and then see what the blank page says, post it here.

The path to includes folder is wrong i think?. but that module is encoded so u cant edit it, or even look at that line. Ive never used it myself Dread might of he will ptobably reply when he sees this thread

in the mean time, Try Pro forms i heard its much better.

What version of Evo are you running?

Also, look in public_html/includes/ to see if you have functions_search.php

Pro forms is better and newer, Members Application was developed before Pro Forms by the same guy. Tim did a great job on both of them. I personally run his PRO Nuke Forms V 1.1.1. I never updated for reasons of there was a few features I asked for custom and he added them in. I know he I believe added those functions to the latest release, but why fix something that aint broke.

I am running on PHPnuke 8.0 and no i don;t have functions_search.php under include
i gave pro forum a try when i run PForms_Install_200.php

Okay, there is your problem. Members Application is used on Evo, and I believe the version you are using is for Evo. As me and many others will say, your best to upgrade your site to RavenNuke or Nuke Evolution.

I personally recommend if you are running a clan site, to go with Evo Extreme over RavenNuke. The nice thing also, it already comes with Member Application pre-installed along with many other mods and modules that as a clan you may want.

I do have a video tutorial on this site to show you how to install it. Though the tutorial is for basic Evo, it still is the same for Evo Extreme which i do recommend using.

If you don't want to change then your only other option would to be to use the pro-forms.

As for that error, its saying you do not have the table nuke__bbtopics in your database. I am not sure with nuke if that table is necessary, or named different. I have not touched basic nuke in about 3 years. I am not sure if you would be able to get away with creating that. not sure.

But I think he threw in a SQL file that you should be able to use to add the tables into your database your self.

You should be able to, in the Evo download, there should be upgrade scripts. If I remember right, you will need to downgrade your site to Evo 7.6 before upgrading. I am sure that there is help that can be found on there site if you run into issues.
