Post My first rodeo Posted: Fri Oct 29, 2010 2:20 am

Hey folks. This is my first Rodeo as far as putting together a site with PHP Nuke... so please bare with me.

I am having trouble with my right modules overlapping my forum area.

Everything looks fine when Im logged in the admin panel but when I log out and when regular members log in, the right modules either overlap the forum or rather the forum seems "stretched".

I tried the search option, but I couldnt find anything that answered this question.

Thanks in advance.

Clan Roster 2.0 · Bad Company 2 Vietnam Xtreme Theme

Well, I think first a screenie or a link so we can see whats going on would help.

As for understanding PHPNuke im still learning new things after 4 years so there is a lot to understand and take in, as for a CMS its great and very easy to use.

You refer to the modules streching, typically for example on the sites home page you would have a setup of

Left Blocks - Center Blocks - Right Blocks

For pages such as forums, web links or downloads those pages are called "Modules" with Left / Right blocks surrounding the Modules, so for example

Left Blocks - Module - Right Blocks

Some pages can display or be setup to display

Left Blocks - Module

Module - Right Blocks

Module

All these configurations, depending on what version of PHPNuke you are using can be easily edited/changed to your prefered liking.

Post a link or screenie and we will take it from there

Thanks for the reply.

My right blocks overlap the middle but not on the main page just in the forums. If I remove the right blocks, then the forum page goes off of the screen (with no way to scroll over to see it all).

Here is a link to a picture of what is going on. Youll see how the right blocks overlap.

link

thanks!

And you say if you remove the right blocks the page scrolls to the right, sounds like a forum template problem to me

Attach the theme via a zip to the forums and ill load it up and have a quick look see whats going on for you.

Thanks again for the help!

I think I have narrowed it down to a certain extent. Everything seems to be working correctly in Firefox but not in Explorer. I reloaded the theme from scratch just to make sure there was nothing that I missed when uploading and I got the same results. The home page looks great in both Firefox and Explorer but when I go to the forums, only Firefox is shown correctly.

The theme is ArmyGamer and it can be downloaded from this link: here

I like this free theme that you guys have provided. thanks!

Its an old theme so would need re-coding and updating...

I like doing stuff for free, but I just dont have the time right now sorry

Can you post a screenshot of the IE problem please i might just be able to fix that issue without re-coding just for you

No problem. I understand completely. There is a link in the 3rd post of this discussion that shows exactly what things are looking like in Internet Explorer and how the right boxes are covering up part of the forum. In Firefox, it looks fine.
