The initial response is symantically questionable.. readers wont know if this is dirty laundry or not.

It should never be "okay" nor the "standard" to assume the source is less than creditable. Asking the version is a better response in any case. Its far better than suttle accusations whether unintentionally or intentionally implied.

I understand the amount of distrust any business person will have in regards to their paticular business. On the same token, there are many honest people out there who not find it okay or acceptable to be addressed in such a manner, intentionally or not.

If the person asking the question is legit, it'll be followed through with accordingly and follow up visits and additional business with probably occur. There are those like myself, who after reading such a response, would delete the program and do business elsewhere. My input wouldn't be here it would be on other sites and forums, spreading the word so to speak. I don't want to see this happen to you guys.

Dilligence in customer service is a necessity, not a luxury.

Anyways, it was food for thought, I know dread and there is probably more to the story than I am privy to, on the same token, if so, this should have been moved to a private forum string for proper handling.

The proper response is "Please post in the roster support forums"... Then provide them with a link to it.

If they follow up with I don't have access, then you can start asking some more serious questions.

Even though you can see it isn't listed on their account. I deal with a lot of people who do installations and have purchased multiple copies of CR for different sites.

I can only imagine the amount of infringements you come across. It's my opinion, from what I've been privy to see and hear, you all handle those victims fairly well.
