Will the modern gamer combat theme work on the new Evo Xtreme version 2.0.9? I just updated my website to the new version of Evo Xtreme 2.0.9 and wanted to purchase the "Modern gamer combat theme". but I wanted to make sure it works before I invest the money. Need input!

I didnt even know there was a Xtreme v 2.0.9

There is a Nuke Evolution v2.0.9

The next version of Xtreme will be v3.0

Version Nuke Evolution 2.0.9 is a BETA as well and should not be used on live sites ??

Ive not even installed it or looked at it until it comes out of BETA, no point because anything can be changed... so if i spent a day converting a theme, and then the BETA got modified, I would have to spend another day converting the theme again.

So to answer your question, no

I would stick with Xtreme v2.0 for a clan site Kiss

So, I apoligise

Last time I spoke with Killigan, he informed me the next release would be Xtreme v3.0, but it would seem they have released a patch to make some enhancments called "Nuke Evolution Xtreme 2.0.9 Upgrade" so its still Xtreme v2.0 but with a small upgrade.

I looked over the list of upgrades

- Updated admin display
- Added jQuery Ajax admin display layout switcher
- Globalized jQuery
- Globalized colorbox
- Updated themes admin
- Added theme upload to themes admin
- Added theme installer from zip files
- Added colorbox for theme previews
- Add theme backups for God admins
- Moved version check from main admin display to admin.php?op=version
- Removed constant connection to Xtreme site version checker. Click to check version now.
- Updated blocks admin
- Updated Modules admin so you don't have to switch pages when updating modules.
- Removed fckeditor for security reasons
- Replaced fckeditor with ckeditor

From the list of updates / fixes it should work as it is now, but you wont be able to zip load a theme, because we have to release our themes in 2 seperate downloads to by pass the GPL law so we keep copyright over the images so we can peruse anyone that tries to warez our themes.

I can see why they have tried to make themes easier to install, but I will never ever ever release a theme as 1 download

The GPL basicly interprets that if I was to release a theme with the images included in the download it ALL because open source and can be shared, redistributed, modified... and thats bad for a theme designer...

SO it means you would have to upload the theme in the old fashioned way via FTP !!

Im going to download it now and install it on my localhost see if the theme loads up, Ill let you know

Ive installed it and the Modern Gamer Theme works fine

My main concern was if the forums had been updated, but they have not

As I said, You just have to upload and install the theme the older way via FTP

Thanks for the information, sorry for the time lag with responding. I really appreciate the time you spent cheking on this. I would like to purchase this theme, but last time I tried I had problems with paypal coming across correctly. I will try again. Thanks for the input and review.[/align]
