I did runn for 1 year a phpnuke 7.6.b4/b5 platinum
But it is time to update the stuff and make a brand new 1
was thinking useing Nuke-Evolution

only 1 question is Evolution Xtreme better
are there more options? better security?
is there a bigg defference?

Noto is 100% correct. Evo Extreme 2.0 has the same security to Nuke Evolution, just with the fixes in the sticky post I posted a few days ago in the Evo section. Other then that, they have pre-installed many forum mods and modules that were found in the suplementary folder that came with Nuke Evolution. Along with updated a few other modules for the better and worse. The worse is the DL module but I have posted a updated one that still is editable and they also have one that is encrypted so if you wanted to change something you couldn't.

Overall, if this is for a clan, your best bet is to go with Evo Extreme 2.0.

Evolution-Xtreme Version 2.0 (Current Release)
Evolution-Xtreme Version 2.0.7 (Original)

is the current release only a update?

I have to agree, for a clan type of website use the Xtreme 2.0 current version. The script is cleaner and less useless garbage is there to contend with.

Evo is a good CMS and you can't go wrong either way, but my personal preference would be Xtreme.

You can jump straight to Evo Xtreme but its not for the faint hearted

MAKE BACKUPS BEFORE YOU START

1) BACKUP YOUR DATABASE
2) BACKUP YOUR SITES FILES

Sorry about the CAPS but people do not make backups then get upset when the mess there site up ! lol

Essentially what you need to do is downgrade your site to upgrade, sounds daft but this is what you need to do..

Download Evo Xteme and look in the "upgrades" folder (all the files you will need are in there with instructions)

You need to look in the folder PHP-Nuke Standard 6.5 - 7.9
