OK ill have a go at this for you. One you'll need the right CMS for your theme. The read-me in the theme folder should tell you the compatibility of the theme so that's easy. OK so now I'm guesting that you have the right php installed and uploaded what you will want to do is go to the directory that you php CMS is uploaded to in your ftp or file manager and then go to the themes folder. OK now all you do is upload the theme witch will be usually in a folder with the theme name inside the folder it will have forums folder images folder and style folder ( some do contain others). OK so to edit your theme well this depends on what you are wanting to do if you want to edit the header all you do is find the Default header pixel size and make one to that size then name it the same as the header on the theme is called and overwrite it. so say you want to get rid of something in your theme like for instance on clan themes site you have a spot light bit under the header well go in to your theme.php file and scroll through till you find the words Spotlight or whatever you are trying to get off you theme. Now this is similar to HTML you should be able to no were the code stops for the spotlight so you delete the start of the spotlight code to the end of the spotlight code. now to edit a php script easy and free program to use is Notepad++ witch can be found here http://www.clanthemes.com/downloaddetails-60-565-notepad-.html. For more info on editing your theme you'll have to be more specific. To enable your theme go to the admin control panel in your theme and hit theme management or sometimes its found under preferences and just click install theme and then make default with will be under one of the icons. If in preferences just drop the box down and select your theme.

If you are on about the block content well no editing needed here all you do is go to the downloads section on this very site and select lets say you want a block select the blocks category. From here go through the pages till you find the block you like then download it. unzip it. and upload the .php file in side that folder to the blocks folder in your ftp. To enable a block go to your Admin panel and click blocks then add new block... Then drop the box down and find you block. If you designer a different name then put the title in the title box. Then hit save changes go back to were you can view all you active blocks and then click and drag it to the left, center or right side and it will auto update the page.

If you want a new page or module then its the same except for looking at the modules section and uploading witch ill go through now. to upload a module unzip it. go to you modules directory were you will see the forums page advertising modules and many more now lets say you have downloaded the xfire roster page. all you do is upload the folder that reads the name of the module in this case xfire roster to the modules directory. The module folder should contain a index.php file and copyrights and other things to. To activate a module go to the modules section in the admin panel and tick the activate box or click activate on and the same to deactivate the module.

So that the theme, modules and blocks done!

i hope this helps if you need anymore hands on assistance then please add me to:
