Hello Guys I need some help with our shoutbox. The module itself is working fine people can shout etc but what id like to do if possible is to have the different groups on our forums admins mods members etc when they make a shout that the name will be shown according to the group they are in.

I had a look through your knowledge base and found this post http://www.clanthemes.com/ftopict-3831-color-group.html but to be honest im not sure what I need to do.

We are using nuke evo version pro pack 2.0.7

I looked through the acp and everyting seems to be ok ( that I can tell anyways )

Any advice or help would be great

If you go to my site, you will see my shot box on the right side, and you will see our names in various colors according to our groups, is that what you are talking about?

If so, which shot box you using? I am running the one that came in the Evo 2.0.7 DL, in the supplementry folder.

Yes thats exactly what im talking about is your shoutbox compatible with nuke evo boards sorry if that sounds stupid but im not to clued up on nuke evo stuff we are using shoutbox 8.5.2

I think he is asking for groups (like the forums) but for the shout box

Clan members will see just clan members

Admin will see just admin

Moderators will see just moderators

registered will see just registered

Cant see the point in that, and as far as im aware its not been done to date, if im wrong please correct me

we are actually using the shoutbox you have in your downloads section i Know two other clans that use it and they have been able to do it on their forums they tried to help us but we couldnt figure out whats wrong. Is there anything with in the shoutbox itself that needs to be adjusted?

The only thing I can think of, is making the block its self only visible to certian groups which is done in the blocks section, but the problem is, if you want one for Moderators, and one for admin, you would need 2 separate modules or edit that one and do a bunch of renaming and editing to make several versions, but as admins if you wanted to have the ability to look and see all of them, you would see like 3 separate blocks/modules.

Other then that, to make a certian blocks only viewable to certian groups is when your in the Blocks ACP, look at the very bottom, you will see a drop down, and there select "Groups Only", and below that you will see the list of groups. When selecting more then 1 groups, its best to hold down your Ctrl button on your keyboard and click which groups you want to be able to see it. Holding Ctrl allows you to individually select the groups with out having the other groups you selected become deselected.

Other then that I really don't know.

Theres no actual problem with the shoutbox any one whos registered on our forums can see it and shout in it. Our forums are at www.etd-squad.com if you want to see the shoutbox you will need to register . Example of what I want im an admin my auc color for the forums is red so when I make a shout i want my name to be in red mods are blue members green etc etc. I looked at dreadedcorpses website and his shoutbox is what we want ours to look like all the different users have diff colors on their names

Which one are you using, there are 2 of them on this site.

I am going to take a guess, but i thinking your using the top one when you should be using the bottom one.

Confirmed by the credits on your version that your are using the older one and not the one that was updated for Evo.
