Hey all,

I came across a problem with members cant post on the fresh installed forum saying invalid session, pls resubmit form.

Before i had Multi T3 but i recently installed RavenNuke v 2.04.00 with the clan_template_black from Here .
The problem occuring is in the forum when people trying to post and get the error, "invalid session, please re submit form"

I tried solving it myself by following this here on clanthemes: http://www.clanthemes.com/tutorials-view-183-cookie-config-and-fix-for-invalid-session-please-resubmit-the-form.html

the configuration i have now is:

Domain name: exodus-multigaming.eu
script path: /modules/Forums/

Cookie Domain: .exodus-multigaming.eu
Cookie name: phpbb2mysql
Cookie path: /
Cookie Secure: Disabled
Session lenght: 3600

the problem still occurs, what can i do to solve that so we can start using the forums?

try this:

Cookie Domain: .exodus-multigaming.eu
Cookie name: exodus-multigaming
Cookie path: /
Cookie Secure: Disabled
Session length: 3600

Also, since I am guessing your running RavenNuke, I think they still have not built in a way to clear the sites cache, so you will have to delete your cache and your members will probably have to clear out there cache also. I know Evo has a cache button to clear out the sites cache but I don't think RN has that feature.

The cookie name doesnt fit in the bar, it can only handle a small word, any idea how to extend that or i cant ?

search for something like
<input class="post" type="text" maxlength="16" name="cookie_name" value="{COOKIE_NAME}" />
change to
<input class="post" type="text" maxlength="255" name="cookie_name" value="{COOKIE_NAME}" />

only problem i have left with it is that when im making a post and the story gets a bit long then the scroll bar of the textwindow and the space to type it in goes crazy, up and down all the time, u also know how to fix that? its undoable atm to make a long post cuz it moves up and down etc. hope i explain the problem correct.

lol i heard of this bug many times, The bug itself actually isn't in nuke or your theme, but with the IE browser. This bug can be fixed by activating compatibility view, or it can also be fixed by adding a fixed width and height to the textarea.

open
themes/yourtheme/forums/posting_body.tpl
find something like
<textarea name="message" rows="15" cols="35" style="width:450px" tabindex="3" class="post" onselect="storeCaret(this);" onclick="storeCaret(this);" onkeyup="storeCaret(this);">{MESSAGE}</textarea>

add the height attribute (height:300px;) like so.

<textarea name="message" rows="15" cols="35" style="width:450px; height:300px;" tabindex="3" class="post" onselect="storeCaret(this);" onclick="storeCaret(this);" onkeyup="storeCaret(this);">{MESSAGE}</textarea>

also you might need to decreased the columns (cols="35") or you might get a horizontal scrollbar in Firefox.

ok thx m8 seems to go better now, only i seem to fall from one thing to another,
now there;s a problem with people trying to update their profile but it doesnt seem to save so signatures,avatars etc arent saved.

any idea what can cause that?

any errors?

turn errors on in config.php and see it it gives any errors out when saving sigs.
$display_errors = true;
