Post Cant load any block Posted: Thu Mar 25, 2010 7:26 pm

Shop Purchases:
Crysis Theme

I cant see load any new module in my admin/blocks after i put them on my site server. Just to make it sure, when i unzip New_module.zip then i get such folders like:blocks, images, language for egzample. I should put them in /www. Thats is, blocks in /www/blocks, images in /www/images, language in /www/lanuage. Yet when i go to admin panel/block there not listed. I think i either misput it or didnt do sth (like adding some script for detecing new modules).
I run RavenNuke_v2.4.00 and i started my adventure with websites 1 week ago thus please dont slap me :)

Kind regards,
Karol

www folder is also the public_html, well in the case of my last 3 sites/host, you were able to go into the public_html or the www folder and it was the same. In the case of them not showing up, if you open up your blocks folder, in the root of your site, you are seeing the php file called "block-WHATEVER.php" or are you seeing the folder you uploaded.

If you want, send me your messenger information and I will work with you on this through that, and if need be I can remotely help you.

There is block-WHATEVER.php in /www/blocks. I know that if i upload the blocks (with all its files inside) folder from my machine, into the site root /www, then everything what was inside of unzipped module blocks folder is added to /www/blocks. So i do...and so it looks like Zipped Maby, CHMOD has sth to do with that?

I found this in blocks readme:
b) All blocks needs to return a variable with the content called $content,
you can see the Sample Block included.

yes, that means in the block, you need to use $content rather then echo.
