Does anyone know a way of either editing the top menu bar from the standard Home/Forums/Download/Account ?

I want to try and add some more or just remove it entirly but have no idea where the config options are or what its official name is.

I presume you are talking about editing your theme, but I may be wrong

Shop Purchases:Enemy Territory Theme (Aviator) for PHP Nuke · Clan Roster 2.0 ·  · Modern Warfare 3 Xtreme Theme
If that is a flash file, meaning a swf, you would have to contact the creator of the theme to see if they can edit it. If they provide a .fla file then you can edit it with a flash file editor.

Or it might have a theme control panel for editing the names and links

make sure the theme is active and then goto >> yoursite.com/admin.php?op=theme_edit&theme and if it does it will be there
