Post Auto1 theme issues/ changes Posted: Tue Jan 19, 2010 9:09 pm

Hi guys;

thanks for some great themes.

(I tried the search function and couldn't find anything specific for this theme)

I downloaded one today to trial on a dev server (investigating Raven Nuke for a website we were going to put on Joomla... don't ask!)

ANYWAY;

I downloaded Auto1, and we installed it. I'm looking at changing a few things; in doing so I found some "issues" with code/ image links in some of the files; predominantly they were pointing to a different theme name, such as pro12, or similar, files as below:

summary.php (image link)
install.php (typo)
lblock.php
login.php

I also found that within the forums, the QUOTE button is spelled wrong ("QOUTE" instead of "QUOTE")- I've modified the graphic and re-uploaded to the dev server- I can provide this to you guys, if it helps?

I'm using paint shop pro- I'm having fun with the header graphics (top right)- the BMW image (sliced?)- I need to change it (not very good for an Audi based site LMAO ) I think this is down to my version, though (psp will not open, says not a valid file; the bundled gif animator program DOES open it, though)

I have some questions, if I may- you may want this as a separate thread, though:

when on the home page, looking at the forums recent post scroller: the colours are... "odd"

(I can supply a screen grab, if it helps?)

Top of the block- dark grey background (just what we want)- text/ font is mid/ light grey- not distinguishable.
Other areas for hyperlinks have a mid/ light blue colour font; again not always that legible.

Could you possibly advise which file, and which line I need to change the colour values to? Help is much appreciated.

Many thanks

Andy

ps. My user name on Ravens site is AndyB if you need to get me some other way ;)

Shop Purchases:
Clan Roster 2.0 · Bad Company 2 Vietnam Xtreme Theme

Thanks for the heads up, i guess i didn't find the reference's because if the buisness1 theme was in the same directory it would have still worked.

The login.php isn't needed, that can be deleted.

To find the classes relevant to the block colours that you don't like

find the block in the yoursite.com/blocks folder open it up and find the table that is the wrong colour.. then find its class="A NAME" then just look in the themes style.css yoursite.com/style/style.css and search for "A NAME" and edit the class that relates to the desired needs.

Be careful though because it will probably change something else without you knowing until you see it...

I would prbably make a new class in the style.css for a one of look

The images open for me in Photoshop ?

found the issue- Mark had uploaded/ added the theme; I'd collected from the server via FTP; no problem now though- took them directly from the zip folders (must have been the way I was using FTP)

Let me know if you want the reworked "quote" icon..

Thanks for your feedback. Angel
