Post Html and php nuke into one site. Posted: Sat Dec 26, 2009 10:50 pm

Hi all,
Wasn't sure on how to title this thread. What i have going on is this. I currently have one website up and running using Ravnenuke with zonecopper theme..
I am in the process of rejuvanating an older IL2 sturmovik online dynamic war campaign that uses php code, BUT is housed in a html website format. I really want to use Ravennuke and NOT html as the CMS but do not know how to go about changing the original's in the html/CSS into my site. I am not sure on how I go about converting the html files that are required to run the game into my configuration. I am hoping their is someone who can point me in the right direction.

I am familar with html and that would be the easiest solution. However, I really like the features available in Php Nuke. I can post a link to the existing program if that would help.

TY

A link would probably help

It would probably help if you showed us a working current version, im guessing that its basicly a script that is working as is, and you want to place it inside a module within PHPNuke.

Thanks Ped,

Basically I just need help in finding the easiest and best way to modify his exisiting primitive html that is currently housing all the necessary files into a newer website using phpnuke.
With a html and css style of website, I can just duplicate existing html pages and link to theme in the site. However with RN phpnuke, I do not know how to go about this. When you go to the link you will see a html website with a menu on the left that links to other files/code. this is what I want to put on my website. A navigable way for others to utilize the program. So somehow I have to recreate new pages and then put the "info" in them.
Anyway here is a link to get an idea.

edited...link removed.

Thanks,
Express

O that seems like alot of work you would have to do to make that a phpnuke module, It could be done but i think who ever does it might want to rewrite it but thats MO.

Also did you know your site is producing alot of errors

It is not a site....it is the example that I am trying to be able to incorporate into my real site. How I go about doing it is what I need help with. As you can see it was an early html site used as a jumping off point. Everyone who has used this BADC code has used it in a html format. What I want to do is revise it so it resides in my Ravennuke PHP site. Or to be told it is not worth the effort and just make a new html site with it instead.

You could make a module fairly easily, it depends if you want a static module or a module with an admin side to edit the info if it needed revising once in a while.

the more complex the harder it is

My question on that is this. The complete Campaign will require about 15 seperate links to at least 15 seperate pages. How do I accomplish that in a module?

Certain files will require editing from time to time and some files will remain static.

If I make a single Module and name it the "Campaign Name" how do I create the necessary pages that I can hyperlink to? In other words, what do I use as a template for each page of data?

In html I can just copy the page and add content to it. This is where I am stuck when it comes to php. I see that their are already modules such as content. Can I just use them adding new content modules each with a seperate title? This way the pages will match my theme.

Thoughts?

I have read the tutorial on using the module maker located here on the site. Is this what you had in mind? Take all of my html data and incorporate it into the module maker? I'll start experimenting but if I am headed in the wrong direction with this, please let me know.
