Would you guys be intrested in a new evo xtreme i mean what i thinking of is taking the 2.0 version adding some modules and blocks and some cool themes for clans and then re doing the install.php and sql tables ect and making a new and improved patched version that clans will find better as when i downloaded xtreme i still had to go and find new blocks i was think getting a ventrilo block, and maybe some popular blocks converted ect and then, some modules like sever monitors and xfire, ect. and then i was gona upload it here but if you think its a waste of time then i wont but i thought it woould be better as clans wont have to waste time downloading and installing new blocks/modules and get annoyed when it goes wrong i thought that it would help for those who dont have the time to make a site with hardly any or no blocks/modules and speand a day or two getting there site up.

I also just thought as i write this, the cookies setup everyone gets confused i dont no if my skills are good enough but maybe i can set it up so when it installs your site that the cookies get set to a defulat as in it will detect you url and use it automatically and everything else is made from the url . but that is gona be some fancey coding and i doubt it can be done so yeh if you dont think that can be done then say then if you think its a good idea then vote on yes or no, and then reply with some help or some handy info.

Personally I say no. But I have a few reasons behind this and I hope you take no offense towards anything I am about to say.

Its been done before and has not succeeded, also I personally don't feel that you have the experience to provide all the technical support and have the ability to detect and fix any security issues that may come up, and people would have to rely on all security updates from others.

Secondly is that by installing all those, I have a feeling that you will be providing too much that will slow down the site load up. Evo already comes jam packed with stuff and when the first extreme came out, they put in some mods they they soon realized was causing issues with people. If you want to get into that then your better off trying to get on the Evo Xtreme CMS team and working along side with them.

As I stated before, I personally don't know your skill sets when it comes to scripting, editing, and upgrading. The only things I seen from you thus far is the edits you did to the blackw theme which still has that error. But from that, the help that you have provide here thus far to me has had the possibility in steering people in the wrong direction. This does not mean we do not appreciate the help you have provided, but providing answers on something that you are unsure is sometimes not the root to go.

As for your cookie idea, its nice, but I don't think it will work for there are to many variables that can and will change the out come of the results. Yes, the instructions can be confusing if you skim through, but I see people very new to all this follow them with no issues.

I also had this idea in the past, but i then thought that if I was oging to do it, I just might as well join there CMS team. Then I started on a mod pack that had a bunch of modules, blocks, and scripts put in and I had 4 different versions, which you could pick and choose from which would have different stuff in each, well for 3 of them, and the forth one had all of them and it was an easy install, it was just a matter of uploading and running the installer I wrote, but I stop on the project when it was about 90% done to work on the module, "tournament Champion". Then I lost them all after A virus was infecting my PC and I had to do a full PC wipe which I lost everything.

but most of the things I was using in my packs were modules and blocks that I have upgraded and ported to work on Evo. Some I had to rewrite sections and others it was just a matter of changing the global variable declaration and the inquiry in the mods to work with php5.

So all and all, if you want to do that, then I would try getting on the Evo Extreme team which I know they will test your coding abilities.

Again like dread said please take no offence to what i am going to say.

IMO you lack alot of the essentials to even become a themer let alone start a project as big as this, It appears you are overlooking all the hard part and just thinking of adding some mods/hacks/blocks that are already made free to the nuke community any one can do this with trial and error (i mean adding blocks/mods/hacks). I mean from some of your posts that i just read you wouldnt be helping the gaimg community but sending them to an early grave.

Could you clearly identify a security hole in a module and fix it? I know i couldnt depending how big the hole was, Are you willing to provide a site dedicated to the CMS and provide 100% support for its users? are you willing to convert 100's of themes to something that may die within a week? could you really improve the installer that techno then killigan and lonestar worked so hard on? and do you really think that the community needs another CMS full of crap(no offense to xtreme)? whats more i cant see the xtreme dev team taking this lightly and without a fight. I could go on more here but you get my drift

You are doing a great job at times but IMO you need to take the back seat on things you may not know the answer to 100% then spend that time on w3schools and reading some html/xhtml/php/css books and what ever else floats your boat thats what i do when i get the chance read read and more reading cause if you are serious about this then you need more experiance.

@dread i could of seen them mod packs being a hit if they were easy to install and you didnt get a virus and loose them Angel

i would have liked to have tried them out .

first of all i was very drunk typing this and i dont think i am ready my self. this is somthing i have to work towards and i hope i can do in the feture also 5STAR im not being funny but you seem to have a problem with me and im getting sick and tired of it so any sacasic remarks you may have please keep them to yourself and yourself only. To the rest of you guys thanks for the replys im gona learn to theme then how to mod ect and aventually i would love to bring this out for clan themes.

scope, I do not have a problem with you at all.

What I do have a problem with is: you posting a fix for problems and that isn't even what the problem is about or it's the wrong way to go about it. If that makes sense. People come here to find solutions, including myself. They don't need to be confused any more than they already are. And giving the wrong advise makes you look bad.
