Free mw2 header change? Posted: Sun Nov 29, 2009 3:57 pm

My clan is using the Free MW2 theme. www.tsgaming.net We would like to change the header at the top, and I am at a loss.

I am new to PHP, and I understand the code, but it looks like the header graphic is made up of multiple gif files and I woul like to simplify that into one jpg. I know this was probably done for loading as the header graphic as a whole is large.

In short how do I change it, and can it be changed?

It can be changed, but the header would essentially be recoded for it for its coded for the sliced header. Ped is your man when it comes to that, he will probably charge a little for recoding and making the custom graphic for you, but it shouldn't be to much. I know he will be away for a few more days, I think he will be back in the first week of December some time. But that's who I recommend doing it for you.

Snype I think also could help. I just been busy with mapping I haven't had time to do that so if I had anyone to choose from, it would be one of those two guys. Doc is also another one that might be able to help. so there are a few choices there.

I have done this all i did was make a header in photo shop with the the size of 1000 X 300 then i looked for the file .gif that was the the top left hand corner and sved it as a .gif and the same header name i think the name is header_01.gif not sure. then i deleted the rest of the header images and uploaded the new one and it loaded fine and in the correct pixcels but i have been told this can slow ytour site down and cuase problems i never got any of this so you mqay want to try this or just make the banner and slice it up the same as ped did and name them the same.

Yes like i said in my previous post i wouldnt suggest scopes idea as it will cause errors either way and should show the red X's like dread pointed out cause it will be looking for them images in the theme.php.

ranger375 i can help you if you want it done asap and cant wait for ped, If you would like to PM me what kind of header image/details you are wanting and i can make a start on it. I will ask for a donation of £10 the same as ped would and many others so if this is ok with you go ahead and PM me
