Shop Purchases:
Clan Roster v1.7 Php Nuke Module

Below is my original question when I first posted. Below that is the list of resources that I will update as members provide them. Thanks for helping us learn how to fix our own problems by providing resources to use. Angel

I have been playing and self learning Web Coding for a few years now. I wish I could say that I feel I have advanced my skills during this time but I don't feel I have. I get by with thumbing through the code and allot of goggling to find someone else’s fix to my issues.

I have an ok understanding of basic HTML but when it comes to PHP/SQL databases I struggle to understand what all the symbols, echos, includes, $dbs, etc. mean and how they function.

So... I ask if you self learners out there could share their best resources that helped them better understand and code around the Nuke CMS environment.

Thanks you very much for your input,

List of resources posted in this thread:

Thank you, Rick
Some day I will be a good coder so I can payback the nuke community for helping me.

Shop Purchases:
Enemy Territory Theme (Aviator) for PHP Nuke · Clan Roster 2.0 ·  · Modern Warfare 3 Xtreme Theme

Where I learned allot of my stuff that I know was from http://www.w3schools.com/PHP/

They to me seemed to give good examples and idea's to practice off of.
I also found by taking someone else's code and as an example, port it from working on one CMS to another was able to see what its doing and learn that way, from there I was able to pick up on what i need to do to get a certian function I wanted.

I will pass on what a wise man gave me PHP.6.and.MySQL.5.for.Dynamic.Web.Sites. It is a very good book very detailed and has examples as well as it allows you to create the code from them examples and it explains what every thing means in detail.
I have got to page 205 but have stopped reading it for a while at the moment i am reading Learning jQuery 1.3. But like dread said looking at others code is a good way thats what i have been doing lately and it has been helping me alot

Thanks Snype for your information. I see that ClanThemes has been adding and using jQuery. Looks fun to learn but confusing as well.

Thanks DreAdeDcoRpSE for the site. I will check it out.

Keep the resources coming folks. Maybe if there are enough input the Mods will sticky it for everyone to use to learn.
