Well, all of the sudden people going to my site can not register and some that are registered already can not log in.

I contacted my hosting co. and they say that one of the forum scrips is messed up and that I needed to reinstall it.

The site is been acting up lately, I wondered what could be the problem

Thx guys for your quick response, I "think" I have fixed the problem, but now "bots" are back in my forum.. I went ahead and deleted the newest members (sorry) I didn't know you guys registered.

Going back to what I still need...I still need someone to help me out upgrading my site, I think I am running an old version of php-nuke, I also will need a captcha mod to stop the bots to register in my site ,and a few other things that i would like to fix in my site.

can you go into phpmyadmin and look in the nuke_config table and look for the nuke version and pm me let me know and also zip the your account index.php and send a link to the zip file will give me a good idea of the patch level you have and then tell me about any code changes you have to any modules ie forum mods mainfile edits for various things and so on i will add you on msn also as we speak i have afew suggestions for stopping spam bots

i say lol to much but what the hey!

Upgrading from an old version to something like Raven or Evo can be a bit of a pain in the arse, if you download one of these packages they should have instructions on how to achieve this, i know Raven does.

There are two ways to do it:

Also remember you will have to install any mods again that you have installed on your site.

Of course witch way your pick will be decided on how much content your have on your site. For step 1: will take a lot of someone's time and cost you a lot of penny's. Step 2: you can probably achieve yourself costing you zero penny's.

Again you need to find out what version of nuke your are currently running.
