Just thought I would share my several experiences trying to install and use this version. I have tried several times now and finally gave up, I just run the site with the bugs in it. There's always code errors displaying at the top of the page if I have more than one page of the website open at the same time. Even worse when I am logged in as admin. All of the text starts to disappear as well and is replaced with the php coded version instead. I have had nothing but grief with Nuke 8.0.

I run a couple other websites as well that I decided to try Nuke Evo Extreme v2.0.7 and let me tell you, I hate to sound like a cliche, but that CMS is like the best thing since sliced bread. Well, as far as a Nuke system goes anyhow. I would definitely suggest that those who are looking for a new CMS to try out should consider trying that one.

If Evo doesn't work out for you try rave nuke, but yes 8.0 is pure crap.

cant say i use 8.0 much i usually stick to good old version 7.6 with latest patches i used 7.8 for awhile but found it was abit clunky i tryed evo 2.0.6 but that wasnt right for me either same as raven nuke the last 2 are very good but everyone has there prefernce n mine in to start with a stock 7.6 and do what i want to it

I have used many different versions, I originally started with Nuke 7.9 and moved onto 8.0. But shortly after I went to 8.0, my site was hacked several times even after blocking up some of the holes, so I moved onto RavenNuke but I just had some real issues with it and how it worked. Its a great setup, but there were little nit picks, (Mostly in the the blocks on how you have to refresh allot), but then I tried out Evo 2.0.7 and I have been set with that for now. I have worked with Evo Extreme on several other sites and I know if you are starting with a fresh copy, then your good, its a nice setup, but if your moving from another CMS, then its one HUGE headache in which the dumbest thing anyone has done to nuke, IMO, (Downloads section in the forums). That just does not like to work with converted sites and its not like you can easily remove it.

But overall, if you want a vanilla version but with better security then basic nuke, then Raven is the way to go. If you like mods, then Evo is the way to go.

But this is all Opinion based, which is mine so if I offend anyone, then sorry.

Yes i have to agree with you there DreAdeDcoRpSE lets hope the upgrade process is better with the V.2 version of xtreme. Also in there latest release of xtreme they have really improved it and taken the downloads from the forum, they have improved the overall downloads module and it now lets you add like 3 images and overall its alot faster than the first one, And while beta testing it i didnt find one bug neither did alot of others it was just cosmetics.

But i will still stick with ravensnuke and nuke-evolution 207 basic for all my sites

I knew they were removing that download mod for the forums, they eve said that it was a dumb thing that was added, I just wounder if they will pack the upgraded download module as a separate system so people using Evo 2.0.7 would be able to have the new features.

Well from what i understood it will be in the final release instead of separate But it still works on EVO i have the download mod from when killigan released it separate a while back if you want it?

Yea no probs but you sometimes have to delete the .htaccess files from some of the folders.
i would also suggest testing it first on a local because i cant remember if you just upload and overwrite the old module or delete it and replace but i think its the overwrite, Anyway let me know if you get it going if not i will install it on mine and and let you know
