Post Ajax comments in modules Posted: Wed Jul 29, 2009 7:13 pm

hey guys while building what was meant to be a quick tutorial module for my site i started getting ideas and i have used afew of them but the one that surprised me most when i added it was ajax comments on a tutorial.

Well anyways the reason im posting is what areas would you guys like to see an ajax comments system in phpnuke sites?
for example downloads, news and so on

I like what you have done with your tutorials, but ajax is limited when it comes to duplicate entries or points (if not it would still take a lot of work) and the cosmetics for the comment text area is all wrong. Just think about the options to be unapproved comments per user vs selected approve comment for admin. Ajax is great, but not that great. Once again, it assist in making the phpnuke comment system shit. You have a long way to go in any comment system...

floppy if the admin chooses to approve comments the ajax will simply be disabled on the part where it displays the comments as the way i have worked it on my tutorials theres 2 ajax sides to it 1 to refresh the comments and 1 to submit the comments therefore any comment entered and the admin wants to approve it it will not be displayed instantly via ajax the only ajax will be used to submit it does that make sense?

That sounds nice bro, lets see it in action.... Not at all knocking the ajax, just saying it always can be better as with any mod in the world....
