Need help with nuke evolution 2.1.0 rc3 Posted: Fri Jul 17, 2009 12:43 pm

Hi, i installed Nuke Evolution 2.1.0 RC3 and everything went without any problems,
now one of my test users is telling me he can't change his profile he gets a message that permission is denied.
the weird thing is, when i login with his account i can change his details. he cleared his cookies and cache and tried several browsers so that can't be the problem i think.

i've looked trough all settings and everything should be in the correct settings atm, the only thing that i'm not fully sure about is if sentinel blocks things like that too. i hardly changed anything on the sentinel settings and since that's the only thing i never worked with on nuke before i can only imagine the problem should be lying in there.

so i was wondering if any1 else had this problem as well, and how i can solve it.

1st thing to check would be what access Your Account module has. Go to admin page, click modules and look for "Your Account" should be set to "All Visitors"

Im not a fan of Evo so i don't know if this is a common bug of something like that, there's a few Evo lovers here and im sure you will get some replies if the above is not the problem you are encountering.

"Your Account" is set to "All Visitors" that was the first thing that i checked ;) but thx for the reply anyway :)

This is not a common bug that I know of. Since you are using a RC (Release Client), like a beta, your best bet is to ask over at http://www.evo-german.com/ as it might be a bug with in that system. What i gathered, they have changed allot in the evo system and it could be a conflict in there coding.

i'm aware that it's the "beta" version thats why i'm testing it before i'm gona use it. but sentinel was used in php nuke as well, so if it's a sentinel setting then in might not have anything to do with evo. also tried searching their forums about it but my german isn't that good :P can read it a bit but can't write a normal sentence at all :P (not that my eglish is perfect ;) )

Look at your account settings in nuke admin. Sentinel wouldn't block him that way. It was designed to block them from the site.

though there site is in german, you can ask in english. Most of the seak english so they should be able to help. Like clyde4210
said, it should have nothing to do with sentinel for sentinel does not block individual modules, only from the entire site.

yeah also found an english part on that forum, will trow my question in there. the account settings are all in the right order so i guess it has something to do with it still being a beta version or something like that, but if they answer me there i will post it here as well.
