hi, i want to update my site to nuke evaltion and i just wanted some infoamtion like do i need php nuke installed if so what version i have 8.1 at the moment but some info i have read says something about 7.6 also will i lose the postes in the forum and ppl that have regesterd ?

Download evolution basic pack and look at the upgrade directions. you shouldn't loose users or posts.

Geniune yes downgrade then use the upgrade.

Last I knew, it was the same ones from Evo 2.0.7, and upgrading to Evo Extreme still has issues that are and will remain unresolved. Your best bet is just go to Basic Evolution 2.0.7 and if you really want all the extra crap added, then you can add it your self, or wait from the next release where they are removing allot of the scripts that were just stupid for being added, and been causing nothing but problems.

If you can tell, I like Evo, but I really hate Evo Extreme. Nothing but a pile of issues if you ask me.

ye im not doing the xtrem one just trying to install nuke evolution basic i download nuke evolution v2.0.7 and i went to the down grade folder for basic phpnuke and there is only these ones in it "downgrade-77-76,downgrade-78-76 and downgrade-79-76 and as im useing php nuke 8.1 witch one should i use if any of them ?

i agree somewhat. I am testing xtreme beta but i still don't care for all the mods. i would use evo basic.

Genuine go ahead and make a backup of your site and database. database backup, don't forget to check off Add AUTO_INCREMENT value and, Enclose table and field names with backquotes. it'll be off to your right when exporting under structure heading.

then install evo basic.

open up your database backup and find the nuke_users, copy the insert tos and query those in your new evo database.

do the same for:
nuke_bbforums
nuke_bbposts
nuke_bbposts_text

this should do it. if you mess up? you'll have a back up to try again till you get it. i would just make a test site till you get it finalized. that way your site stays up till you can move it all over to evo.

hi 1st thanx for all the help, hi i have done all the backing up u u adviced me to do and have got evo working :D but i can't seem to get the data base back up

i am using php my admin i go to the sql tab copy the nuke_ user info and i get a Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage after a few minits i think this my be coz i have over 255 registered users and the table may be a bit big

what do u think ?

I'm unsure as 255 people is not many people to dump into a database. could be your host has set a limit. try querying half of the insert tos and see if that does it.
