I have shoutbox 8.5.2 installed on my T3 theme raven huke site and it works just fine. http://www.knifeon.com

Is there a way to modify the continuos "scrolling" of shoutbox messages?

I would perfer to display the shoutbox posts in a static window, with a slider bar on the right that you could move up/down to see the messages instead of the automatic scrolling.

you need to open the block file and edit it there. there you can have it static or scroll.

Have you noticed that if you put your cursor over the shoutbox the scrolling stops? You can also use the arrow images to speed it up if you want and the pause image to pause it also.

I looked at the block-Shout_Box.php file and it wasn't clear to me how to disable the scrolling. But yes, I did notice you can stop the scrolling with the mouse.

I also noticed the developer left a "requesting features" text file that indicated others have already asked for the scrolling disable feature, so maybe he will roll this out in the next release.
