Hey,

I've installed the newest arcade mod on nuke 8 and it's working fine. However, in firefox scores aren't submitted. I've search and search and saw a mention of this issue in these forums but no solution was posted if the guy found it. Has anyone had this problem? If so, please do share.

Also, I installed the module for the navigation that came with it, it brought up the page but didn't list games, nor when I click on say, "most popular", etc. I'm not too concerned about this because I have a couple blocks that work just fine.

Thanks

Enemy Territory Theme (Aviator) for PHP Nuke · Clan Roster 2.0 ·  · Modern Warfare 3 Xtreme Theme

is it not saving for all games?

For the Evo, I found the problem being in the .htaccess file. There was a code in it,
Code:
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} (\?act\=) [NC,OR]

and all I had to do was comment out that line by putting a # in front of it so it looked like

Code:
# RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} (\?act\=) [NC,OR]

Other then that, I don't know, I have not messed with it on phpnuke 8 for the only times I used phpnuke 8 was upgrading peoples site to Nuke Evo.

for the navigation links * I would recheck edits or if all files uploaded. The navigational that you speak of should just be for the overall header when in forums a user could go to arcade, for those that don't show left blocks in forums. Unless you mean arcade 2.0 mod then you would again recheck edits and files.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I saw the tutorial and it did mention the .htaccess in it. The .htaccess file in my root doesn't have any of that code, just references Nuke Sentinel basically. The .htaccess file in the Sentinel folder only has one line to deny all. I have yet to play a game in firefox where the score submitted. A few have gone to the submit page but it doesn't record it, a majority never make it to the submit screen in firefox.

Regarding the module. Yeah, it is the Arcade_Games2.0RC1 that came with it. The readme just had straight uploads, no edits. I must have done it 4 times... It just would display the menu options, search option and config. No games appear anywhere after clicking on menu choices or searches.

Thanks again.

Ok the reason some games don't submit score is you have it set to wrong type of game in arcade admin. now if it's only doing this in firefox the fix would be comment out the rewrite rule. fix below is if it's just firefox not submitting score.

this:
Code:
RewriteRule ^.*$ http://127.0.0.1/ [R=301,L]

to this:
Code:
#RewriteRule ^.*$ http://127.0.0.1/ [R=301,L]

forget the sentinal htaccess file.

far as the arcade 2.0, go to your arcade page and look up top there you'll see the options. click admin options and set it up the way you want it to look.

if you would like zip and upload your root access file and i will look at it.

Yeah it is definitely only firefox problems. The rewrite rule is in the .htaccess? If so, it's not in there. What file might it be in?

This is all that's in my root htaccess file.

Code:
#-------------------------------------------
# Start of NukeSentinel(tm) admin.php Auth
#-------------------------------------------
<Files .staccess>
  deny from all
</Files>

<Files admin.php>
  <Limit GET POST PUT>
    require valid-user
  </Limit>
  AuthName "Restricted by NukeSentinel(tm)"
  AuthType Basic
  AuthUserFile /home/lodcnca1/public_html/.staccess
</Files>
#-------------------------------------------
# End of NukeSentinel(tm) admin.php Auth
#-------------------------------------------deny from 87.248.169.14
deny from 194.8.75.109
deny from 66.249.71.0/24
deny from 66.249.66.170

Thanks

well first move that ip down into a line then put your cursor on the next line under it so when it adds a deny it will go on the next blank line.

odd you shouldn't have any probs submitting scores in ff if that's all that's in your htaccess file.

this tells me you have something blocking it in ff might wanna have another user test it out that doesn't have the same ff addons as you.

or pm your site and i will go look.

I had several members try and none have been able to play a game in firefox where the score is submitted. I will update my profile with the site if you want to take a look yourself. I had read something about redoing the tables, but I redid them a couple times during the initial install.

Ugh

no, it is set to v3arcade. It's recording scores in IE. Is it supposed to be ibpro? I used the tweak thing for the games and have had to switch a few to ipbro because they weren't recording in IE either, but did after switching. For example, americas army wasn't recording in either IE or ff, but switched to ibpro and now it records in IE and ff. I've tried switching some from v3 to ibpro just in case but they stopped recording in IE too, and upon switching back to v3 still don't record in ff.

yes it's suppossed to be ibppro, unfortunately arcade tweaks only gives you two options "activity and v3. when you install games you'll have to use the arcade admin to actually fix them when they wont record.

1) games that have a game data folder, are v3.
2) games that have STW or something at the end of there file name, are activity.
3) all others, are IBPro.

That's the basic rule of thumb for arcade.

I changed curveball to ibpro and it stopped recording in IE too, switched back to v3 and it works again in IE. No ff either way.

I used the games from the 200 games download.. wonder if that's why, for this one game anyway.
