Title: Getting a standalone PHPBB Mod to work with NUKEBB?

Description: I have a mod or a script for phpbb 2 that i would like to get it to work for PHPnukeBB intergrated Forums.
I know with the intergrated forums that the files and folders are in different directorys.

This script uses the following directorys on phpbb2

------------Files To Edit-------

includes/constants.php,
language/lang_english/lang_main.php,
includes/usercp_register.php,
templates/~{Your Style}~/profile_add_body.tpl,
templates/~{Your Style}~/viewtopic_body.tpl,
viewtopic.php

------------Files Included with the script---------------

root/includes/functions_linkbot.php,
root/linkbot.php,
root/admin/admin_linkbot.php,
root/templates/{Your-Style}/admin/board_linkbot_body.tpl

---------Conclusion---------

If anyone would like to take a dive into this one then im willing to donate or give them some money. I can give them access to anything from ftp to phpmyadmin if needed.

what do you mean by broken ?

is it links that are user submitted or actual topic and thread links ? (never seen them break before)

Yer user submitted links. Let's say someone posted a file like www.clanthemes.com/block-broken.rar in the forum. This bot would scan the forum,find the broken link then pm the user and post that this link is broken

This should be able to use straight out the box with some small modifications to the code. I remember I was going to port it over to evo but decided it was a waste of time due to the fact it will just notify you that there's a dead link and move it to dead post spot.

basically this mod will pm admin there's a dead link and move it to a forum category that you set up for dead links. I swear it was for rapidshare links only. Confused

Yes this is strictly for rapidshare links unless it is recoded to check all links.

What version of Nuke are you using? so I can set up a test server and see if it'll install and what changes need made.

Yes it's been recoded for normal http links aswell as rapid and megaupload. I'm running phpnuke platinum 7.6.4. If you need anything let me know

I will test it out tonight and morrow as it will take time to have database set up and upload files and I got work to do. let you know first thing morrow on condition. I don't need anything as I will go ahead and do it for evo as well.

I fianally got it up and running. This is only for rapidshare links "only" and not all links. There isn't one made for all links. someone modded it to search for dead mega upload links. I had to gerry rig it to get it going as it wont find the correct table. I have a cron set up to see if it will run.

Also you need to have curl activated per your host, running in safemode will not work. open a new text doc and paste this in it to find out. if you're running safemode. also open_directory needs to be off.

name it then call it in your browser you need
open_basedir = off
curl_setopt = needs to be able to be activated
safemode off = curl_setopt can not and will not be activated if running in safe mode.

Further more this mod isn't recommended, due to the fact of all the bugs it has with no support or an upgrade at now or in the future.

I at this time will not attempt to port this mod as it will need to be rewritten to work with phpnuke. I recommend asking for a mod to be made for link checking.

Cheers mate for your help. i have safemode off and curl on. i got it to work on phpbb 2 also. i tried on bbnuke and got it to show in the admin panel etc. but got this when clicking on it..
