Post Site problem Posted: Fri Apr 17, 2009 5:29 pm

Shop Purchases:
Battlefield 2 Splash Screen · Battlefield 2 Splash Screen · Clan Themes Green PhpNuke Theme · Multi-T3 Evo Gaming Theme · Battlefield 3 Evo Theme

When I go to my site, www.rebelsoldiersclan.com, I get this message -

"The admin_file you defined in config.php does not exist."

If I try to access admin.php I get a 404 page not found error.
I haven't changed anything recently it just started happening out of the blue.
Can anyone help?

Shop Purchases:
Enemy Territory Theme (Aviator) for PHP Nuke · Clan Roster 2.0 ·  · Modern Warfare 3 Xtreme Theme

can you connect to your site through FTP and grab the config.php file and look at it that way?

Yes ftp is fine.
The admin_file is default -

$admin_file = "admin";

What version of Nuke you running? just download the version of nuke you are running and grab the admin.php file and put it on your site.

As for it vanishing. I never heard of that happening. the only thing I could thing of is 1 of 2 ways.

1.) You or one of your admins accidentally moved it or deleted it. Moving it is very easily done with FTP programs like Filezilla where if you accidentally drag and drop it not paying attention. I have seen it happen a few times. I have even done it before.

2.) Your running a unsecured CMS and someone got in and deleted it, which is unlikley for most "hackers", just change the index.php file or add fishing files to your site.

Now you've got me thinking.
I'm the only person with access to the files.
When the site went down I was in the process of upgrading my computer, it was down for 2 days.

Anyway thanks for your help, hopefully it will be back to normal soon Angel

Installed a new admin.php.
All I get is the news section without a header, footer or blocks!

Would the admin.php be different because of the theme?
I'm using the clan themes green theme.

theme files go in the themes folder. you were just missing your admin.php file in your root.

have you tried switching themes

Another thing you can try, is going through the base files and seeing what is missing and put in what is missing. Of if you can, you can also contact your host and see if they have a backup for a day or 2 ago when the site was last working right and revert back to that point. I know my host does the backup once a week.

Also had header.php and footer.php missing!
Just downloading a backup from a few days ago from my host, hopefully that should sort it.

Thanks for your help, appreciated.

Site is almost back to normal, the only thing missing is right hand side blocks.
Tried using a different theme (Deep Blue) and that doesn't show right blocks either so doesn't look like a problem with my theme files.
Downloaded a new copy of nuke 7.9 gonna see if I can find another missing file.
A bit reluctant to try the old backup as I have 4 other sites running from my main site.
