Theme problem for ff Posted: Sun Apr 12, 2009 4:08 am

I just downloaded and edited/installed the Metalica theme .. it shows perfect in IE .. but in FF it is off. The header looks as if it is setting approx. 2-3 pixels down and the blocks are all messed up. Is there a compatibility issue with this theme for FF or is there a bit of coding that I may need to change to correct it to that it shows correctly?

This theme is not made by ClanThemes and a good example of bad coding.

If it wasn't made by Clan Themes ... then how did I did get it from here lol ... any suggestions on how to fix it? No disrespect intended .. but it is available for download on this site and I really liked the clean look of it. Again .. any thoughts on how to correct it would be great.

We have tons of stuff here for download that wasn't made by us. Look at the top of the read me it came with or the top of the theme.php. It should tell you who designed it. I see that theme has lots of problems in FF.

No creator mentioned ... ok ... guess I go back to the drawing board. There's no readme that came with it and nothing at the top of the theme.php file either. Just really frustrating. Could you recommend something similar that Clan Themes has made? I need a fairly generic one as it is to be used on two different sites.

We don't supply free themes, well I have released 1 to Ravens Nuke that is included in there script and full owner ship of the theme was given to ravens team over at http://ravenphpscripts.com/

The designer of that theme that you like is http://www.shadowdesigns.co.uk/ but to be honest it must have been made a while ago, and the domain name might have changed hands

I found the creator via another website this morning and saw that his domain is gone. No matter .. I deleted the theme as I don't have the energy to go and try to recode it to make it work. And as far as me searching for a similar theme .. I never mentioned that it had to be free. I've browsed through most of the gaming themes a while back when I was searching for one for just my team .. call it being lazy .. but that is why I was wanting a fairly generic theme to change to so that I could just use one theme of two different sites .. one gaming and one community.

Thanks for the answers .. I'll keep searching for something that fits my needs.

We do plan to launch a free themes section which will be much like the downloads section we have now, only with some of our supported projects in it.

Just another time consuming step for us.

go check out http://www.realmdesignz.com/index.php the problem most likely with the theme is it isn't ff3 compatable. the_mortal might convert it for you.
