HI all.. i searched for this error but cant see anything really that explains it..
On my home page i am able to broadcast a message which can take up to 10 minutes..
I have never been able to do it but its starting to bug as to why it won't work when i have everything ticked to say allow

If i try to broadcast a message saying "Hello Testing" for the first time i get this error

ERROR: Your Broadcast Message is empty or you already sent a message recently. To publish another message you need to wait about 10 minutes.

I haven't posted a message at all that day and it certainly isn't empty..
Using Nuke 8.1.23

Ive never ever used it...

I shall explain why... I started of with a clan site some 4 years ago, and liked the broadcast message for all of a few days !

Until one day some idiot came to our site and starting broadcasting rude and offensive messages all the time, even after I banned them, they just kept making a new account and broadcasting rude and offensive messages constantly !

Since then I have removed it from my sites and simply prefer to use a Mass Private Message or the forums !

What theme are you using ? There should be a line in either the theme.php or header file calling the broadcast message, im not too sure why or what the error you are getting is about...

I guess its just one of those PHPNuke version 8 nightmares, I wouldn't touch anything above PHPNuke 7.6 ... Use either Ravens Nuke or Nuke Evolution, you wont go far wrong !

Hi Ped,
Im using DD Z3 theme... I have found away to edit the above Index.php so that only Admin can broadcast messages..
PLus my site requires admin activation to register.. New applicants never wait more than 24 hours before activating.

IM pretty sure it once worked but have since edited something that now blocks it, as to what i edited i dont know as i have done quite a bit to the forum since.

Have you turned the broadcast of via the admin preferences ?

yea as far as i can see i have..
I changed the default Theme to one that came with Nuke and i was able to broadcast a message, it showed up straight away in RED at the top.
clicked theme back to my Z3 and get the error message again..
Something within the theme but what Sarcastic

Stick the default theme.php into a zip along with the Z3 theme.php (might want to rename the z3 theme.php lol)

Ok, the theme i cant get Broadcast to work is Z3,
another theme i have installed for which Broadcast does work is Hybrid..
both themes are in download zip file below

It was just missing
