What I did was I created 1 large image, and then I would slice the images into sections, Left side, right side, and center. Then i would make a top and if need to I would take the dimensions of the from and make a custom back so I could do a full 360 degree image of the box

there are so many ways of doing these its just crazy lol mine consisted of 48 layers made the front then the side then applied blending then the image at the front was made separte then i added it then used the "distort" thingy to place it where i wanted it

well, the layers are in the image, that something I do first, then I slice the image into section for I find it will line up in the end perfectly.

There is software that does all this for you these days, and there are ready made PSD's freely available on the net.

I use 3d box shot, but I start will making the graphic, then I will finish with that.
