Post Phpnuke video block v2.0 problem Posted: Mon Mar 16, 2009 11:13 am

Hi Guys/Gals,
I downloaded your PHPNuke Video Block v2.0 and assigned it to centre top which has placed it perfectly on my home page :)
Thanks very much for the Block!

The only problem is that im not sure which video file "types" i can play. I have tried .avi .mov .mp4 xvid.avi. .mpg
and found that i can play 1 file but other files dont play video the media player screen minimises and just plays the sound..
Im usung Nuke 8.1 .23 DD Z3 theme..
You can view it here MY FORUM CLICK ME

Thanks

Stuart

Shop Purchases:
Clan Roster 2.0 · Multi Gaming (Warrior) Evo Theme · COD6 ModernWarfare 2 Teaser Splash Screen · Left for Dead Evo Extreme Version

Can you play them on your pc? If not it is a codec problem with your media player.

Post Phpnuke video block v2.0 problem Posted: Mon Mar 16, 2009 12:53 pm

Hi Floppy,
yea some played using vlc some played using media player, i found it was the way i converted the flv files, tried all different ways and got them running ok now..
Another problem is autostarting, in the php file it says autostart="false" but when i reload the website they both start straight away, I created 2 blocks and just renamed one so i got 2 vid blocks to play..
here is script in block-video.php
Code:
<?php
#### Generated by Block Creator by Disipal Site (www.disipal.net) ###
if (eregi("block-Block_Creator.php",$PHP_SELF)) {
    Header("Location: index.php");
    die();
}
$content  =  "<center><EMBED type='application/x-mplayer2'";
$content  .= "        pluginspage='http://microsoft.com/windows/mediaplayer/en/download/'";
$content  .= "        id='MediaPlayer1' ";
$content  .= "      name='MediaPlayer1' ";
$content  .= "      displaysize='4' ";
$content  .= "      autosize='-1' ";
$content  .= "        bgcolor='darkblue' ";
$content  .= "      showcontrols=\"true\" ";
$content  .= "      showtracker='1' ";
$content  .= "        showdisplay='0' ";
$content  .= "      showstatusbar='1' ";
$content  .= "      videoborder3d='-1' ";
$content  .= "      width=\"560\" ";
$content  .= "      height=\"280\"";
$content  .= "        src=\"http://www.onlinegc.co.uk/vids/Arma.mpg\" autostart=\"false\" designtimesp='5311' loop=\"false\">";
$content  .= "      </EMBED></center>";

?>

I dont know much about php but is there a way i can link several videos to the same player?
like doing
Code:

$content  .= "        src=\"http://www.onlinegc.co.uk/vids/Arma.mpg\" autostart=\"false\" designtimesp='5311' loop=\"false\">";
$content  .= "        src=\"http://www.onlinegc.co.uk/vids/Arma2.mpg\" autostart=\"false\" designtimesp='5311' loop=\"false\">";
$content  .= "        src=\"http://www.onlinegc.co.uk/vids/Arma3.mpg\" autostart=\"false\" designtimesp='5311' loop=\"false\">";

Shop Purchases:
Enemy Territory Theme (Aviator) for PHP Nuke · Clan Roster 2.0 ·  · Modern Warfare 3 Xtreme Theme

you would need a player that runs off a play list where you can choose which one will be first or have the option to scroll through and pick which one you want. I do not believe you can do it the way your attempting.

The problem is Firefox doesn't support autostart, that is really really old netscape code. It is no longer compliant HTML

You might try this, but I have not tested it.

I might can put it in a block later and test it.

Hi Floppy,, thats a bit beyond me mate, wouldnt know what to do with that through days of trying and how to link it to my vids..

I have checked both MOzilla & IE and they both need to be clicked with the play button to start.. only thing is IE dont resize it to the size i selected whereas Mozilla FF does..

I am confused by your last post, your current blocks need to be clicked to play?

Or the link I posted?

Post Phpnuke video block v2.0 problem Posted: Wed Mar 18, 2009 10:06 pm

sorry my bad..
Ok my post was supposed to ask how i would edit the script so that the videos dont just autostart even though the script in the block says autostart="false". I changed false to "0" and using ither firefox or IE browsers now it is all ok.. You have to click play on the video for it to start now where as it used to just automatically play when the page reloaded everytime..
But the problem i am having still is that in Mozilla firefox, the video screen size can be adjusted to what width i wish it to be but in IE the video stays the same size but a white box around it changes instead of the actual video screen itself

thanks

Sounds nasty, not sure I even have a suggestion for that man.
