Post V-War Info Block Posted: Wed Mar 21, 2007 3:35 am
Just a quick question regarding the V-War Info Block. The top of the block displays a countdown to the next match. Which I find very slick by the way. Anyway.......The countdown is not displaying the correct countdown. I believe its in 12 hour format, or My v-war tie setting is not correct. the coundown is off by 12 hours. Maybe not recognizing AM or PM. Is there a easy solution to this that I am not seeing?

Alright. I did a lil' messing around, and the only thing that I came up with is to put the war times in military time. 24 hour format. So if a match was at 9PM, then the match time has to be set at 20:00. This was the only way I can figure out on how to properly get the countdown timer to work.

Now I am sure some of my members will find this confusing, and get things messed up. As we all know, there are certain people who just arent too smart! LOL
Anyway............Is there a different way around this that anyone has figured out.

I opened the V-War admin panel, and went to the general settings for date and time. I set the time to the 24 hour format. Before I had it in 12 hour format. Tehn whenever I added a war, I entered the time of the war to be military time. As mentioned in previous post.

This is all I did. Nothing special, but there has to be a better way. You would think. Dont Know

Well I looked at if for you as I said I would, but its hardcoded into their whole system and would require so many changes everywhere rather than just the block. (to match throughout their system of complicated nonsense IMO)

Not a big V-War fan myself.

well that sucks. i guess I will have to deal with it. Oh well.
If its changable within the block, maybe take this into consideration for the next version of the block.
If its possible.
