Hi there,

I'm having trouble getting my website set up and my hosting's support was no help at all. I uploaded the latest version of nuke evo to my site but I must've done something wrong in the installation process because I get the message:

"We are sorry but the the MySQL version you are attempting to use is to old and is not supported by Nuke-Evolution nor by MySQL.com any more. Please ask your host to upgrade or switch hosts."

If anyone could help me sort this out I would greatly appreciate it and would be happy to give you all of the necessary info. Thanks :)

Well Make sure your host has the latest MySQL for nuke evo. Because the MySQL might not work if nuke evo requires an updated version

well according to their site, they use MySQL 4.x - does anyone know any free hosts that will allow me to have the latest nuke evo version and MySQL database that will still allow me to have a decent site?

Take note, there really aren't any "Free Hosts" that support access to a cPanel or sql database. And what are available usually have miserable support.

You would need MySQL5.x in order to run EVO. A Free host running this... Well if you use goDaddy for DomainName you get access to a free unix account Zipped that might work for you. Other then that i'd just say google Free Linux Host Mysql 5 and see what comes up.
