I have a simple mod for displaying a posters avatar in the news comments.
This might be useful for you. The code may need to be cleaned up, but it works.

in modules/News/comments.php find

How about I put 3 real easy news mods together on a text file and submit a download for it....

The comments avatar, 2 columns news and news title link .....

Speaking of contribution, I updated My_ClanSiteLite v1.01 so that it works with new versions of Nuke Evo. It's a 7 year old script but now that the compatibilty is restored its still useful. It checks clan base for your clans stats. Maybe I should contribute it - but im not sure if it is in the public domain. The official website of the script has been offline for 5 years...
