Right now I am testing out php-nuke and I have noticed that it has its own intergrated forum run by phpbb but it is out of date. Version 2.0.17. I checked out the php-nuke site and tried to go through their forums but apparently they do not have forums in English. I notice that there is a newer version of php-nuke so I purchased that and then installed it. It did come with a newer version of phpbb but it is still an old one. Version 2.0.21.

I was wondering if there was I could upgrade it to the newest versoin of phpbb (v. 3.0.4)? I tried it out once already by upgrading it to v. 2.0.23 and planned on working my way up to the newer versions but when I did the first upgrade it bumped all my users that were already registered on php-nuke and phpbb before the upgrade and it completely disconnected from my main domain. Is there something that I am missing?

I know there have been discussions of upgrades and maybe some who have done it individually. However, nothing official as a package has been released.

The default (original) php-nuke just cant stand up to the likes of ravens and evo
you can get upgrade packages to get it up to date, they are called bb to nuke or something along them lines.

i recommend you try Ravens version, so much more secure than the standard and so much more better imo.

Or u can try Evo its has lots of mods pre installed, but i cant stand it so im not even going to post a link, just Google nuke evolution if you fancy that package.

just to let ya know, there are people working on porting phpbb3 to phpnuke. Right now there is only a bridge for phpbb3 available. Like most bridges, it does not fully integrate the forum into the cms, only users.

and the themes will be far and few what themer will want to do all that work???? also techno over at evo is working on a phpbb3 cms which would be better than it being ported into php nuke
