I am getting ready to open a webpage for custom made computers and you all did so good on my Clan theme website,I was wonding if you all could do something for computers . it would detail all the computer that we have all ready built and a thing where they could order the computer any way they wanted kind of like a tigerdirect website with the side links and all that .I would not trust any other people to do something like this and I would like it in PHP nuke and I really trust you guys.....

Cost you a small fortune to be honest, I don't think I would choose PHPNuke either...

If your building it yourself maybe, PHPNuke probably has the biggest released mods/modules/blocks freely available on of any CMS.

All you really need is a decent shopping cart system... and there is loads of them.

Ive built 3-4 big sites lately... and guess what... none of them used PHPNuke ! kinda says a lot for it.. PHPNuke is probably dying slowly, its only the clan websites keeping it alive to be honest.

Well as we all know looks aren't always the answer. Sure their a must but you also gotta look at how well it works. Is it a pain to run? Does it require too much attention? Does it hog resources etc. I found that the case with a few things people had requests about and I wasnt going to use the one they all wanted due to security breaches in it and they just never seemed to understand that. But yeah as Ped said it is quite expensive Zipped

and Nuke is mainly clan or community orientated CMS. But a nuke HTML based site with PHP and other things with a E-Commerce isn't a bad setup

As far as i know if your planning on selling major items such as PC's or anything of the sort PHPNuke isn't they way to go, if your planning on being a business. a CSS based HTML file with some flash and even actionscript for the buying buttons would suffice.

Nuke isn't really made for that kind of thing..
