Shop Purchases:
Clan Roster v1.7 Php Nuke Module

I installed it after seeing how good it looked here..

The instructions however are a little puzzling..

one line says...

Quote:
#
<a href="modules.php?name=Forums&file=search&search_keywords=-----&mode=results">#-----</a>[ OPEN ]------------------------------------------
#
includes/my_header.php

i cant find this file at all.....

everything else i have follwed to the letter even though some of the locations are i little confusing.

any ideas ?

Clan Roster 2.0 · Multi Gaming (Warrior) Evo Theme · COD6 ModernWarfare 2 Teaser Splash Screen · Left for Dead Evo Extreme Version

Nuke allows you to use a custom_header.php

Instead of my_header.php it should of said custom.

You can always just put it in header.php

Not sure, but includes/javascr1pt.php should also work.

I'm having the same problem. I do not have a my_header.php or custom_head.php but i do have a page_header.php and javascript.php. If i add the code to page_header.php everything gets all jacked up and if i add it to javascript.php i lose all my text formatting on the main page. I have left the code out and everything is working fine except when someone post a large picture. The preview box does not expand with the size of the pic. Any ideas?

I am also running into this problem. I tried to add it to javascript.php and page_header.php with no success. Any other suggestions, thanks.

I dunno which script you're using, But if it is the overlib script, you can also add it to header.php.
besides there is file by this name, costume_header.php, which you can use.

Can you tell me where I can find the custom_header.php, I looked but was unable to find it. Thanks.

EDIT: NM, I added that particular piece to the header.php in the root of the site and it works. But I have another question, when putting the mouse over a topic and the post is displayed it is hard to read. I thought it would appear in it's own box, but it doesn't. It appears as just text and is hard to read. Is there anything that can be changed to fix that, Thanks.

Any Ideas on how to get the hover text to appear in a box rather then just text? I am using PHP-Nuke 7,9. Thanks

I found that since I put the script in the header.php file that it screwed up the website when viewing in anything but firefox. I removed it and it and the site started working in all browsers again. I guess it just won't work, bummer. Sad

Shocker, I'm just guessing here but It sounds like it could be your theme. You should try it on another theme and see how it displays. If it works, then you just need to tweak your current theme a bit.

Post Mouse Hover Boxover problem Posted: Mon Jun 16, 2008 5:12 pm

ok ladies and gentlemen...

Advice: DO NOT ADD CALL TO SCRIPTS TO YOUR HEADER FILES !!!
Biggest reason being errors and incompatibility ... especially when it comes to JavaScript.. These functions require plugins and browser setting configurations, so if the client has Javascript Disabled..that person is going to see errors all over your website no matter WHAT page they are viewing..And youll be hunting Ghosts because your not able to view the errors.
Including javascript files is fine..depending on where the script is needed....If its only going to be used in the forums, then viewforum.php file is where the script should be called OR the overall_header.tpl file... but DO NOT PUT THE SCRIPT IN YOUR HEADER!

Now...as for display...most JavaScript that requires some form of layout, requires a customized style.css ( EDIT THAT ) to change colors and looks. If no BackGround color is being called..chances are its going to default to Transparent..hence your issue shockerman88 !!!

Also..for those of you that just have to have these features..do some research on your scripts you trying to install...( What Browsers does it work with ) Ive yet to find a Javascript Function that works with ALL Browsers...so your next question is ( What happens if its not Browser Compatible )

Scrolling through a List of Downloads an randomly installing features you ( LIKE ) is going to ultimately break your website ! There is such a large list of common problems that could break your site by using javascript alone.. Having multiple Javascript Functions DOOOO Interfere with each other.

Dont Be A FOOL...Do Your Homework and research what your installing!

You will not recieve help from me if i have to go digging for your CMS information and version, If i have to take the time to play 21 questions, then you can take the time to google! No Copyright, no support either!
