hi all,
downloaded nuke evo basic (from here) and set it up on locally on my own machine (using Xampp/apache as a server).
the nuke installer worked fine, only the staccess & htaccess failed to chmod, so I goto create a super user but keep getting the following message: The URL you entered in Admin Setup was not valid
Ive tried several different ways to do this but always the page is displayed including:

I also tried the same urls without the http:// but the same thing happens Dont Know

so have i missed something, I only wanted a test site for testing new modules/blocks before using them on my hosted site

Try apache2triad script for local. It always seems to work better for me.

check your chmod that mgiht be the problem.

i had that issue once. By luck I went to create a new account and it asked about a super user. Its a glitch but do it fast. I had the same quick issue with Ravennuke once. Not everytime I created a site, but once and i got it from there.

Thnx for the input peeps,

The problem was easily solved by simply removing the http:// from the field that requests the URL and leaving it blank ;)
