We have a technical cod 4 package running. The issue we are having is with the new posts. If you go to the forums page, you
can see all the new posts by the new post icon. When you go in to read the post and then go back the main forums page, all the new
post icons are gone. The only thing that shows it as a new post is the date on the far right by the poster. Should they not
remain as new post until I have read them? Can this be fixed to remain until all have been read? And where is this code located
so it can be fixed. Any help would be very thankful.

Well this is not a theme problem (pretty sure) the issue has been around for a long time. You should try a default theme and see if the issue continues to eliminate a theme problem.

I honestly am not sure this was ever solved with phpbb2, but you might want to try the phpbb forums for more of an answer.
