Simple (I hope) query. How do I build a php (evo) site without people seeing it until I'm ready? Does that make sense? I want to be able to see it as I build it but everyone else should see an 'Under Construction' page or something.

Put an index.html page up saying under construction or disable it using sentinel.

Either way, just log in through admin.php and you have access.

I prefere to use sentinal its loads easier, just browse to www.yoursite/admin.php?op=ABMain (make sure your logged in as admin first)

Find the Site Switch (see image attached) and set it to Site Disabled

Ped made perfect sense. Even gave a graphic showing. Once you upload everything and make your db and mod your file it is active. At that point you HAVE to go to settings and deactivate the site until you are ready for it to be shown. That is the ENTIRE reason for that little bitty option to be there. It is so you can stop people from regi or logging your site until you have it ready. The main purpose is so that when you have major changes that take bandwidth (upload) you dont have people pounding into the site and giving you errors. Is much the same kinda thing people do when they are updating a game you try to log into.
